They will rejoin the Chinese nation in the foreseeable future.
Hopefully never, an independent Mongolia is a necessary reality check for ethnic separatists who believe they can make it out-there on their own. It's also helpful reminder to those who unironically believe chanting Western buzzwords will magically solve all their problems, and somehow westerners will make it rain if they chant them loud enough.

In an interview with CBS, CIA director William Burns described his meeting with the director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, in November as "depressing". I understand. Not meeting vassals and puppets is always depressing.

The head of the CIA, William Burns, said about the "audacious" attitude on the part of the director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, during their meeting in November 2022 in Ankara. Burns described the meeting as "pretty dispiriting."

"There was a very defiant attitude on the part of Mr. Naryshkin as well. A sense of cockiness and hubris," Burns said. "A sense, I think, reflecting Putin's own view, his own belief today, that he can make time work for him, that he believes he can grind down the Ukrainians, that he can wear down our European allies, that political fatigue will eventually set in."

Many times, some people are not as rational and intelligent as you think.
These Mongols have no way to deal with China except to beat the Chinese in the streets of Ulan Bator.
"Third Neighbor Policy" is the most unrealistic plan I have ever heard.
In my memory, I read an article written by a Mongolian in China, expressing his disappointment with Mongolia. It is a country that cannot extricate itself from the past glory of Genghis Khan. Wrestlers are more respected than intellectuals, greed and alcoholism are the norm.

——This is the information provided by another person living in Mongolia.
This sentence is very interesting:

According to him, there is huge corruption in border trade. Although it is bad for Mongolia, it does not prevent politicians from making money for themselves.

So I think the reason for those unpleasant things is simple - Mongolian politicians want more money.
No wonder the US loves Mongolia.

An easily corruptible and easily-influenced Mongolia is a good Mongolia. The statement by the former Mongolian president Khaltmaagiin Battulgao, i.e. calling Mongolia an "oasis of democracy surrounded by two authoritarian superpowers" is nothing but a farce when your own citizens couldn't even afford comparable standards of living as their not-so distant relatives across the southern border.

It is a real shame that the ROC didn't manage to regain control over Mongolia after the Qing fell, allowing it to be taken away and played by the USSR against China. Because of that, 111 years (and counting) of seperation has done its damage. While the Mongols in China still learn and use the traditional Mongolian script, Mongols in Mongolia has practically given up on their original roots, and instead using the Cyrillic script (which is essentially a Russian/Slavic writing).

So much for the "PRC is not real China, ROC/Taiwan is the real China" BS propagated by basement-slouching Redditors and that certain "cHiNeSe hIsToRy eXpErT" guy on Twitter.

As someone already said here on this same forum - although I forgot which member said it - Putin is sacrificing his army, but I think the member said for strategic purpose purposes, which would be the territorial conquest of Ukraine, but that's far from being the real motivation, Putin is sacrificing his army and possibly the economy to challenge the US-led world order, this is a political factor above the operational-tactical and strategic issues of the invasion.
Middleast is big beneficiary of of US led order so highly unlikely Russia will do anything about it unless US voluntarily withdraw from it.
This former Italian defense Chief interview. he refer to countries in Mediterranean that make Russia pre-eminent power. it certainly not Turkey. Also Russia is neither sacrificing its army nor economy for a special operations. you wont find even 10 Russian tanks in one sector at a time. therefore it is not major land war. it is still a special operations where small groups are used for probing operation to stir a pot that led to pointed helicopter strikes.

“[Russian president Vladimir] Putin’s decisiveness is evident, in terms of both freedom of action at the political and military level, and his ability to create relationships … with countries in the area,” Binelli Mantelli, who was speaking in a purely personal capacity, said.

The ex-president was as capable and highly educated as Zelensky being that his claim to fame for being an ex champion wrestler a.k.a what a real Mongolian leader should be and aspire to. Reading and learning are for losers and pussies like the Chinese lol.. And the people in Mongolia having pikachu faces why they're country is in the dampsters?

According to one lying neocon and champion mustache fighter, John Bolton wrote in his book "The Room Where It Happened" that President Battulga's son served in Afghanistan for a US-led multinational force.

United States and Mongolia are massive embarrassments to Democracies everywhere, if either of those countries are subjected to level of scrutiny that other countries are they would be disqualified as 'Democracies' 2 decades ago.

Their very existence make democracy look bad and make others not want to have anything to do with Liberalism, The fastest way to liberalise China would be for both of those countries to stop calling themselves democracies.

Also the Khalkha tribe of outer Mongolia are delusional Neo Nazi fanatics, and it's best to keep them away from the normal people among the south and east Mongols.

Historically the Eastern and Southern Mongols, the Khorchin and Chahar, did not support the Khalkhas' separatist state because they were still loyal to the Beiyang government after the 1911 Revolution and helped to fight the separatists. Even those who opposed the Republic like Prince Shanqi's Royalist party mainly supported the restoration of the Qing.

btw, the Tibetans also had a similar problem, with the Amdo and Kham Tibetans being mainly loyal to the Republic and organised the Tibet Improvement Party to destroy the Lamaist separatists in ü tsang and integrate them as an autonomous state in the Republic of China.

@ACuriousPLAFan whos that certain Chinese history expert on Twitter you're referring? It can't be Carl Zha is it? He's not a pseudo expert but a very well-read, well-versed person in everything about Chinese history.
