I think it’s evident given how frantic USG has been re the Chinese peace proposal, that the CIA would be in propaganda overdrive to cast aspersions on Chinese efforts at peacemaking. Even the American agents in the EU like von der leyen had to come out and trash the Chinese peace proposal despite only months ago demanding china do something re Russia.
Well, I think that's where the 1450 and 50w cyberarmies roaming in the Chinese Internet come from.
They can appear patriotic or even nationalistic, but their aim is to smear the faces of China and the Chinese people by trying to portray China and the Chinese people as overtly aggressive, hostile, militaristic and even colonialistic in front of the international audience.
Of course, there are many Chinese citizens and wumaos who are truly patriotic and love China. But they are also susceptible to being misled and misguided by these cyberarmies to make China and the Chinese people look bad on the internet.
The term that you are looking for is 拱火 (fan the flames).
Do note that I'm not claiming that Zhao is either a 1450/50w cyberarmy or a true patriotic nationalist, because I don't know who he actually is. But the aforementioned scenario happening on the Chinese internet and elsewhere should be taken care of.
I don't think Zhao DaShuai is wrong, this Erik guy is overreacting. If LNR/DNR isn't recognized by the international community, neither should Kosovo. If Zhao Dashuai's proposal is illegitimate, then so is the current situation in Kosovo.
No, I don't think that the Erik guy is overreacting. On the other hand, Zhao's proposal is indeed illigitimate.
He's literally proposing in his map that, on top of a demilitarized zone east of the Dneiper, Kiev should voluntarily hand over the oblasts of Donetsk, Lughansk, Zaporozhizhhya, Kherson and Crimea to Russia.
This means that his proposal
fundementally violated China's principle and call for the respect of a country's territorial integrity.
Remember that Beijing has never recognized these oblasts as part of Russia.
In fact, his suggestion basically goes against the wishes and principles of Beijing and Belgrade, i.e. Taiwan belongs to China, and Kosovo belongs to Serbia.
If the Chinese government's stance is just as he claimed, i.e. Ukraine should voluntarily give away parts of Ukraine that are internationally recognized as part of Ukraine to Russia, then what should China respond vis-a-vis Taiwan, South China Sea, Aksai Chin and South Tibet? Should China voluntarily give away these regions too?
