from where this theory comes from that every war can weaken a country. Christian Democrats elected unpopular Laschet as their candidate and Social Democrats were struggling to remain relevant, so she had a clear path towards victory. But then she found herself amidst the plagiarism scandal and was caught lying about her position in German Marshall Fund, which resulted in her support plummeting and Social Democrats resurrecting from the dead.
German Greens are big time clowns and unmitigated disgrace. They started of as anti-NATO pacifist and today they are arguably the biggest U.S. cheerleaders in Germany (they have tough competition in Merz's CDU and FDP).
