Its on azure AI, it costs hundreds of millions to train GPT
Are computers that run openAI fundamentally different than a high end commercially available computer? I know people buy bitcoin mining computers.Models need to be continually trained and something like a convolution neural net work requires serious computational power from GPUs. You can technically run it on a home PC, but the process will be so slow that it is not worth it.
What I'm getting at...is it the sort of thing only governments and large corporations get access to, or can individuals or small businesses? How much would it cost to have your own local OpenAI?
