I think the most likely reason is the media sensationalising the entire affair, resulting in Republicans causing hysteria and Biden caving in to pressure. This entire farce is a three ring circus.

India does not earn much exporting to Russia so there is less use of Rupee.
India earns in Mideast currencies due to large diaspora working there and exporting since India has to cater to Indians.
if India has those currencies instead of converting them into dollars to buy dollar based oil. they can use those currencies. . I think similar situation with gold and other metals trading. overall higher expenses due to Ukraine war will lower gold price as Russia maybe selling gold but gold demand is so high that it is not falling much. Swiss dont like this financial system moving to Mideast.

I think it’s because of common sense being applied back in Trump’s time (I know, I did a double take as I thought this).
High altitude scientific weather balloons have minimal controllably and are basically at the mercy of winds.
With climate change changing global weather patterns, not only are our standard regression based weather forecasting models much less reliable and accurate, there is also added incentive to do more weather monitoring and research to try to come up with better predictive models, which means more weather balloons being launched.
All of that means it’s more likely and more common to see weather balloons getting blown off course. So if someone detects a weather balloon flying with the wind, they will just chalk it off as another lost balloon and not go to red alert over it. And that seems to be precisely how the military initially handled this latest balloon saga until the media got involved. That then got the politicians involved and caused all the drama and idiocy since.

but really, my pet theory is that after Yellen got turned down by china when she tried to flog useless US treasuries, and given that Blinken wasn’t going to get what he needed ie Chinese lending money to Anglo America and not giving aid to Russia, the anglos needed a face saving out. Hence the ballon brouhaha.
