World's 15 most polluted cities
It is either. China just doesn't give a damn about policing such sanctions imposing by the US. Again, it is a US sanction not a UN sanction.
“Apparent violations by Chinese companies raise the question of whether China is intentionally trying to test the limits of America’s policy, or whether Beijing simply lacks the capacity to police Chinese firms across a range of industries,” said Stokes, a senior fellow focused on US-China relations at the Center for a New American Security.
Who fucking cares? US would sanction China if it could. It doesn't matter what China does or doesn't do.
They also zeroed in on China, with Senator Robert Menendez, a New Jersey Democrat, citing what he said was evidence that Chinese companies have been exporting dual-use technologies “that Russia needs to continue its onslaught of Ukraine.”
“It seems to me that we should not forsake the potential of sanctions against China if it is providing critical assistance, and it shouldn’t be able to hide behind some companies,” he told Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland.
China relationship with Russia is none of the US business. These lunatics think they can both sanction China, incite tensions in Taiwan Strait and ask China to not have good relationship with Russia. More importantly, relationship between the US and China is as bad as it can be. And China standing in the world is great except with the imperial West and its allies.
Nuland said that even before the invasion, the administration has had intense conversations with China “with regard to their relationship with Russia.” President Xi Jinping has avoided criticizing Russia over the war but has also offered to play a role in peace talks and come out against the use of nuclear weapons in the conflict.
“We’ve made clear that we will bring to their attention when we see sanctions violations by their companies,” Nuland said. “And we’ve been very clear with regard to the impact on our relationship and their standing in the world.”
They used to say rich Chinese are immigrating due to the very strict zero covid policies. Now they are saying the same, when China has reopen quickly.
The choice is obvious to be honest, be a Chinese vassal at least the europeans can enjoy economic growth, prosperity and modern infrastructure, being an american vassal otoh they will be looking at declining living standards and constant warfareIt's articles like this that make me grateful Putin decided to invade the Ukraine.
Before the war the entire of NATO was engineering a new Cold War against China. You had that German admiral talking about how he felt NATO could form an alliance with Russia because they were "Christian" unlike the pagan Chinese. He was even talking about accepting Russian annexation of Crimea.
You also had mainstream propaganda outlets talking about how China engineered the COVID virus as biowarfare against the west.
One special military operation later and the European and American economies are in the toilet, Russia has taken China's place as enemy number one and we get quotes even from a NATO puppet Macron like this.
God bless Putin!
Yeah, Chinese cars are starting to get a foot hold in the Australian market. My school friend is amongst those that is purchasing a BYD which is expected to appear by April. Heck GWM and LDV are also brands with low wait times and are also picking up in popularity. However, a lot of European cars and Japanese cars have some pretty bad wait times with the RAV4 having a wait time of over a year or even 2 given I guess the demand and the state of the supply chain issues right now makes it hard to deliver. It’s not really due to not being popular but it is mostly due to the situation in Europe and in Japan in regards to well supply chain issues and cutting themselves off there main energy supplier (Russia obviously), I can see Chinese cars becoming more and more popular in the future due to costs and performance and the alternatives going to go up in price since the rav4 that I got about 4 years ago having gone up at least 8k in price. So China has to potential to win very big since their relations with Russia is rock solid while Japan should they continue to kowtow to the USA, isn’t going to fair that well in the coming years due to costs going up faster and Europe is almost guaranteed to be worse. I swear when all things are done, if their corporations in Japan and the EU want to survive, they might just have to make an example out of those policy makers and USA worshipers in office.I doubt US would try on banning EV imports from China other than subsidy qualification. China auto market is vital to the survival of GM, while US market is not even a primary consideration to Chinese auto exports. Volvo is an exception because of its history and a huge production facility in Carolina. Tesla would easily lose half of its market cap if losing China market. Collectively, Chinese auto makers are doing the right thing in going after Europe, RCEP and Mid-East markets. US politicians would not easily go with net importers. Just look at how Toyota or Honda have been running their US operations. Take together, US market is not yet a profitable proposition to the Chinese auto makers.
China should encorage them to do more. The more they wear down their equipment and platforms, the less ready they will be when the time comes.Result of FONOPS in SCS. They literally ruined the readiness of their fleet for a multi-year political signaling campaign.

To most head of states, visiting the White House is the #1 wish. Visiting Xi would be right next up. But, but, but, Ursula, China is not free enough yet ???
Ursula von der Leyen wants to visit China. This news really should be in the funny stuff thread.
You know something is really going wrong in the west when the US and all its dogs want to visit China all of a sudden.
