Typical false dichotomy - the correct answer is of course the 3rd option: an independent Europe. Is Macron really so ignorant? This guy is deluded. In what universe or timeline is Europe not a US vassal already?
The US Hasn’t Noticed That China-Made Cars Are Taking Over the World
Bruh, you are thinking that the West has a coherent strategy. Well, maybe they do, and perhaps Sweden burning Koran and insulting Erdogan while begging Turkey to let it into NATO is some sort of 6D chess move too complicated for us simpletons to understand.I wonder if it was coincidental that the BBC documentary on Modi got released on Jan 17th right before the meeting.
Could the film be a threat by the West, the meeting was a reaction in response to it or both?
That graphic is clearly meant to do Sinophobic fearmongering.China is on the way to become number 1 - but do not wake up U.S. policymakers!
This does not benefit anyone. Germany and Europe can simply raise the price of products built with expensive energy. There is no replacement for Germanic engineering in most cases. US trade deficit has increased with Europe, Euro has regained its pre-war strength. and energy markets are expensive for every one.
A weekly China is doomed article by Bloomberg and wealthy Chinese exodus has become a new narrative.
I doubt US would try on banning EV imports from China other than subsidy qualification. China auto market is vital to the survival of GM, while US market is not even a primary consideration to Chinese auto exports. Volvo is an exception because of its history and a huge production facility in Carolina. Tesla would easily lose half of its market cap if losing China market. Collectively, Chinese auto makers are doing the right thing in going after Europe, RCEP and Mid-East markets. US politicians would not easily go with net importers. Just look at how Toyota or Honda have been running their US operations. Take together, US market is not yet a profitable proposition to the Chinese auto makers. That graphic is clearly meant to do Sinophobic fearmongering.
Besides, China should start preparing for contigencies in case American and European governments want to play dirty on Chinese EV makers. The "human rights issue" BS pretense is definitely on the cards.
Does anyone know more about these Chinese companies?Sanctions are being imposed against Terra Tech JSC, allegedly receiving satellite images and photos taken from airplanes and drones, as well as the Chinese company Changsha Tianyi Space Science and Technology Research Institute and its subsidiary Spacety Luxembourg.
