This was already posted yesterday with the source as BBC, author "Mengyu Dong", another angry overseas female reporter
Now we see this Taiwan lady, who is also working for RFA

I hate to sound like those "Deep State" people, but honestly, they don't even try, just recycle the same story between outlets.

Honestly, "culling the herd" is a pretty apt description. This sounds like the most ridiculous way of trying to get into the US to "escape zero covid". Even if you get into the US, pretty much you are guaranteed to be put into their migrant concentration camps.

I remember in the 90's, there were a lot of those human smugglers with the containers with Chinese migrants inside. Now that has pretty much stopped due to improvements in livelihood and criminal crackdowns.

When the thing with the Vietnamese people dead in the truck in the UK a few years ago, you could sense there was a palpable hope in the media that the Chinese human trafficking was picking up again. Then when they turned out to be Vietnamese, it was a huge disappointment because they couldn't put out those "ESCAPING XI'S CHINA" stories that they had ready to go.

Just to add:
How ridiculous is it for two international media outlets to cover the "dozens" of Chinese out of tens of thousands of Latin Americans?
Where's the Uyghur Chinese though

I remember seeing a video of Gordan Chang with his father on top of a building looking over a city supposedly in China talking about how it was all an illusion. The city didn't look like a Chinese city so I suspect it was some regular city in the US. If he were going to make such a video why not at the Bund overlooking the Pudong River? I bet the guy is too afraid of actually entering China because for a so-called China expert, I've never heard or seen him in any instance be in China. At least you saw Pinkov with the balls to do that.

The issue with Gordan is that when he grew up as mix raced, he choose to side with the better/winning side, and to lessing the cognititiave dissonance he threw out his other half... and didn't bother to look back... and back then America indeed was the undisputed #1... no one can blame him for doing that...

The problem is Gordan wrapped his entire self-identity, core being, and self-worth to being American/white side and now that China is catching up to and quickly surpassing America, the more the disparity is leveled and the more progress China makes, its an affront to Gordan's self-worth and an attack on the identity that he has crafted and built for himself since young childhood

This is why the more successful China becomes the more hatred Gordan will have for Chinese and his Chinese side, because to him and his established identity, it feels like he is losing...

I think he is still trying to get acceptance to the types of people that bullied him as a kid. Some weird stockholm-like syndrome

Uncle Gordo seems like a "snowflake" by his party definition

Let's not be so mean to Gordon and let's give him a moment of silence.

Why? Sounds like a good way to cull idiots from the gene pool.
I don't know the trend of Chinese immigrants going through the jungle of South America. But the willingness of Chinese students to study in the U.S. is at a low point.

As the tweeter Shank Hu commented, some Western journalist in China have become ambulance chasers.

Why should American taxpayers give Taiwan $10 billion?

By the same token, why should American taxpayers give $100 billion to Ukraine when there are urgent needs somewhere else domestically?
