Vietnam would sooner just buy weapons from China. More likely than not they will try to make their own, with minor imported tech.Russia MIC export is now going to decline rapidly, their Ukraine blunder is going to cost them dearly , if they have finished entire Ukraine like how USA destroyed Iraq within a month then atleast it should have sent chill down to USA and it's allies and fear can be used a good geopolitical tool to export more weapons , well cost consequences would be heavy sanction from west, geno***** dictator, and but it would have won support of Russian natiolist , weapon export could become more attractive.
But now , they're under sanction, war is taking too long time, already their weapons and become joke in social media & in MSM media, even though most of it would be CIA propaganda but everybody now understand that russia lacks some technology and even buying UAV from Iran for war , this exoposes weakness of Russian military and how few days ago Ukraine destroyed russian bomber by closely hitting inside very deep of Moscow.
China should be a little worried because I think Vietnam would probably choose American weapon because they are shifting away from Russian weapons, that's why I always says that deep economic ties are not the best option to win a country, the best option is close military ties like USA has with it's NATO countries and various military bases which helps them to influence all of those countries.
China should bring it's kind of Monroe doctrine so that superpower like America or other power can stay away from it's sphere of Influence /atleast in South East Asia and should start to pressurize USA military to vacate their military bases in japan, korea , south east asia after china takes control over taiwan island.
A more reliant Russia is really good for China. At the same time, a weaker nato is also really good. In that regards, the long war over Ukraine serves every geopolitical need.
I was concerned when Russia went out of Kherson but clearly some sort of breaking point has been reached where the number of losses and horrible winter conditions have finally caught up to Ukraine.
