Thinking back to Anchorage, it was a bitch move for the Americans and Blinken to deny the Chinese delegates lunch and hospitality just cuz they didn’t get their way.
Yes.

And speaking of which, a timely reminder on how the US treated Serbia as guest, versus how China treated Serbia as guest:

No wonder the BRI, RCEP, SCO, and BRICS are becoming ever more successful.

Of course right. Two countries in the world that heavily rely on their auto industry to prop up their economy - Germany and Japan. The Japanese see Scholz go to Beijing they naturally go oh shit oh shit this looks bad. If Scholz make some kind of deal in China how easy would it be for CPC to stir up nationalist feelings and cause a consumer boycott of Japanese cars?

It doesn't even matter if Scholz isn't going there to make deals, the mere fact that he's going to Beijing makes Tokyo nervous. This is on top of the fact that even if they can't compare with China or US when it comes to EV making, German car makers are ahead of the Japanese in EVs due to that "muh hydrogen fueled car" meme Japan has been running for the last decade.
