For someone to be able to come out and say that is a big deal. Once someone voices such thoughts more will come out of the woodwork. At this rate soon Scholz will call up Xi and go "hey, did you know Marx was German?"

I watched an video with an interesting theory about all the recent moves by Scholz, the central idea being Germany is one of those country capable of suddenly jumping ship and come to the side of Community of Common Destiny. The reasoning was simple, beside Marx you know who else Germany produced that was really revolutionary? Martin Luther. If Germans can go through a fundamental pivot like Reformation then it stands to reason they are also capable of such radical pivots in the future.

It’ll be interesting to see whether china will let germany pursue their objective of having their cake and eating it too

The Indians are getting more factory orders from western brands like Gap, Adidas and Nike. The yankees are now trying to have these other Asian countries nibble away at China's industries, while they themselves restrict China's high tech industries, Huawei and chips sanctions etc. China should retaliate by banning nike and starbucks.

Some iPhones assembly are moving to India and iPads to vietnam. Covid policies are allowing these countries to steal jobs from China.

But how will they do that when you have the Poles, Ukrainians and balkans potentially blocking your land routes to the community of common Destiny. And sea lanes wise you have Norway, UK and the Netherlands that can block german sea routes.

They are pretty much contained, by the US so they will have to operate really carefully.
