So the West cannot make uranium fuel for those newflanged small modular reactors with up to 20% U-235 unless they buy it from Russian Tenex. How are they fueling up the US nuclear submarines then? The Virginias, Los Angeles, and Ohio submarines use 20% enriched uranium fuel. Is this also being done with previously decommissioned material from nuclear weapons blended with low enriched uranium?
This is pretty pathetic on the part of the US. But I already knew about the situation I even said as much when the West started with their sanctions regime. Russia provides the West with like half of the enriched uranium fuel they need and you would see half of their reactors close down if Russia ever put sanctions on uranium fuel exports. And much of the remainder uranium is enriched from exports of Kazakh uranium ore which Russia can blockade any time they wish.

Enrichment capacity is measured in unit call SWU or Separative Work Unit. US's SWU have atrophied enormously.
Also checkout that growth in Chinese SWU

Of all the anti-colonial operations, I didn't expect Iran and Saudi Arabia to toss their hats into the Russia-Ukraine ring, but here we go.
