More fun news revealed from the Chinese media about vice premier Wang Qishan & team rocking up to Lizzi's funeral in masks....

They were among the few, along with US, french and Israeli, who traveled to and from the funeral by car, everyone else including the jap emperor, von der Leyen, Trudeau got the tour bus treatment.

But the real statement was that Wang & team arrived late and left early....LOL.

Pretty sure Macron had traveled to the funeral by bus on the main event day.

Some guest used their private cars for the previous days and other events, but from the photo, only Biden and Wang Qishan used private cars for the main event. Supposedly Israeli president Herzog also used private car, I couldn't find photos but it wouldn't surprise me ;) .

I expect a strong USD to harm the US in the long-term. Cheaper imports / more expensive exports put domestic manufacturers at a disadvantage at a time when the US is already running record high trade deficits and its industry is already utterly uncompetitive. In addition, the high interest rates discourage investment at a time when the US supposedly wants to reshore manufacturing.
So yes while a strong dollar translates to a higher nominal GDP for the US in the short-term (+ helps with the inflation), in the long-term the dollar's rally will be reversed once the interest rates go down again, but the damage done to US manufacturers will be permanent.

Question: how is the NEV revolution exactly going to take place in Europe, especially in countries like the Netherlands that are already experiencing (suffering) high electricity prices that more and more people are contemplating on cutting electricity to be able to put food on their table per report by AL Jazeera


The situation has been clearly greatly influenced and affected by the virtue signaling idiocy typified best by the people of Europe and the very leaders they elected to lead, including the non-elected EU social justice warriors (politicians) and morally bankrupt lying hypocrites best explained by non-other than the noted Mr.Jordan Peterson himself, who seems to opine on just about every subject matter. I didn't know that being a famous or infamous psychologist enables anyone to be taken seriously on issues totally unrelated to their profession. In any case, he said that the idea Putin is going to lose the War with Ukraine is a fool's errand, and stupid one at that.
