Is there anyone in charge in that country?
The words "has not changed" and "policy" are precisely a problem of the US. It means the sovereign integrity of other nations are treated as mere attribution that is negotiable, subjected to change as and when US see fit. That itself played in the context of China's case already breach the agreement under Nixon and the UN Charter whereby sovereignty is absolute.

It was always a balance. China believes in a mutual beneficial relationship and at the end of the day, still really prefer Europe to leave the US sphere of influence. If this visit really does happen, I think bejing will ignore the usual BS on human rights and this time the Russian war. They are just for propaganda purposes for Europeans back home.

Beijing will try to deal with each country individually to get some tangible deals, if European countries get more coupled with China, it will only hurt them more if and when shit finally goes down. And US forces their puppets to take the hit. France historically been more independent in this regard than other euro countries so maybe China can work something out with Macon. Germany is way too cucked right now, but their automobile industry is quite dependent on China market. Will Scholz even try something drastic now? I doubt so.

Of course we don't have confirmation yet if this meeting is actually happening
Bro now I think the German's are part of Made in China 2025 all along...lol and so is SK and especially Japan, from the outside they seem vey anti -China BUT in the years to come they will accuse the Chinese of copying their ideas of The Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere...lol

Yet they say Biden is the lesser evil...
this is why, uncomfortable as Trump is, can you really oppose him? Looking back, he had only insane rhetoric, but actually was quite rational in his actions. What other president had the courage to shake hands with Kim Jong Un and give peace a chance?

They say Trump is insane but is "shaking hands as equals with another world leader for peace" more insane than "virtue signal at risk of global war"?

Meh US is just flip flopping between threats to invade China because it knows threatening to invade is the only way they can get any leverage/bargaining power nowadays.

They themselves are not really ready. US would need to achieve more domestic goods independence first if they're to sustain a long war. Plus it's extremely dubious if the US can utilise full mobilization and draft.

It's like USSR constantly threatening to roll through western Europe during the cold war. Military is all they have so they use military threats to bargain. I give it a 8/10 chance that America's military will never manage to attack China, they'll fizzle out on some random proxy war first. Maybe Ukraine, Syria or Iran. As long as China keeps nudging them into costly conflicts.

Especially if EU is taken off the geopolitical board by Russia. Without EU, US' bloc will officially have smaller gdp than China's bloc. Although we already know gdp is secondary to industrial/tech capability, this is still an important threshold.
