I have a feeling that they are using Biden's supposed senility to leak the intention.
It was always a balance. China believes in a mutual beneficial relationship and at the end of the day, still really prefer Europe to leave the US sphere of influence. If this visit really does happen, I think bejing will ignore the usual BS on human rights and this time the Russian war. They are just for propaganda purposes for Europeans back home.
Beijing will try to deal with each country individually to get some tangible deals, if European countries get more coupled with China, it will only hurt them more if and when shit finally goes down. And US forces their puppets to take the hit. France historically been more independent in this regard than other euro countries so maybe China can work something out with Macon. Germany is way too cucked right now, but their automobile industry is quite dependent on China market. Will Scholz even try something drastic now? I doubt so.

Wouldn't count on that since Syria isn't even on the same level of threat to the American supremacy and hegemony that China is to America.
From the voices expressed by retired and currently serving military officers in the U.S. military that America must come to the aid of Taiwan already guarantees that America and her allies will come to war against China when that time comes. The only question is if that conflict will be forced against China's own timetable or not.
Judging from the increasing American bellicose actions the answer to this question is yes. But, it still depends on China to take the bait or keep allowing the ONE CHINA POLICY get hollowed out and challenge by the unhinged and suicidal members that compose American vassal countries almost all will be taken up European chihuahuas rather than Asian countries that neighbors China.
At this point in time, it is indeed in China's interest to raise the stake of war and home in the point that any country that partakes or participate will be attacked NO WAYS OR BUTS. There should be no safe haven or quarters for these would be participants arrogantly assuming that they can br safe and sound from wherever part of the planet they are from.
The UN will have to show if it's still a legitimate world body capable of being impartial arbiter when it comes to geopolitical issues that have global world ending implications. Democracy western style wasn't and isn't part of any UN declaration. Sovereignty of a nation on the other hand is.
