MAGA crowd are glorified keyboard warriors. Jan 6th was their chance and what did they do? Took selfies in Congress, wore funny costumes and what not. They're not the civil war type folks many think they are. Even Trump was disappointed that these fools did nothing on that day .

Trump was raided yesterday and what did the Maga crowd do? Exactly nothing but moan online.

American institutions are too strong to be weakened by these fools. For that to happen you need a solid ideology led by a competent leader.
Correct. The right wing in the US tend to glorify the War of Independence and the rebellion against Imperial Britain. Like rebellion is some kind of virtue. But I do not find them that "rebellious". Judging from history, Chinese are far more rebellious compared to these fake tough warrior Americans.

German Industries are going to be decimated in the future. Without cheap Russian gas how are they going to stay competitive against the US, China, etc.

German industries are already on a down trend. Their strongest export (automatives) have missed the boat on EV and are only starting to catch up, but both China and US have established themselves in this area

You need to be more careful about propagating narratives from Western MSM, specially when the language is foreign & easy to spin words. Th entire thing barely got mentioned here except some daily newspapers yet, guess who were amongst first to report it

It only take a few words to put a spin into story
AHM Mustafa Kamal also said Beijing needed to be more rigorous in evaluating its loans amid concern that poor lending decisions risked pushing countries into debt distress. He pointed to Sri Lanka, where Chinese-backed infrastructure projects that failed to generate returns had exacerbated a severe economic crisis.
But he did not say that, the last part.

However, coming back to main point, Mustafa Kamal is no nonsense guy, he is the guy who did quit ICC president post after fixed quarter final match with supa pawah. What he said was ,we should be more careful taking loans from China in time of inflation (name of china came up because China is one of our biggest infrastructure funder) . There was no comments such as debt trap. He drew parallel with Sri Lanka given the chaos it is in, not because China BRI debt trap story. Our view of sri lanka's problem is much more simpler than western narrative. You don't wanna be indebted, don't take the money.

We are currently quite possibly South Asia's most stable fastest growing economy. But first corona, & now Ukraine. But the worst was yet to come. 3 days ago we went to sleep with patrol price being 85 taka, the very next morning it was 136 taka , which created quite a bit of unrest. His comment regarding the loan came just day after that. You take loan, you need to think about how you are going to pay it back. Right now, i don't think we are in position to go outside of absolute necessity, as he mentioned.

Surprised to see Singaporean universities rank so highly. What sort of engineering do they do in Singapore beyond financial chicanery "engineering"?
Well they publish in English and everything is engineered to nod head to Uncle Sam. As the local Symphony 92.4 FM radio station in Singapore says, everything Singapore whispers to Uncle Sam: Sounds good, feels good.

In any case the hard dredging in Singapore's university engineering departments are done by mainland Chinese students. There's a saying, the second best students in China go to Singapore and wash out the best from Singapore.

They have to import talent from China to win medals for Singapore.

Veteran Feng Tian Wei makes epic comeback to beat Zeng Jian 4-3 for GOLD | Commonwealth Games 2022

The finals is contested by two Singapore players imported from PR China.

Singapore's current ethnic mix is 70% Chinese. I think the leadership should bring it up to 80%, secretly.

In his 1998 book, The Man and His Ideas, Lee Kuan Yew echoed this sentiment. He said: “I have said openly that if we were 100 per cent Chinese, we would do better. But we are not and never will be, so we live with what we have.”

Besides Mr Lee’s comment, the post also features a quote by ex-PAP MP Choo Wee Khiang who said in 1992:

“One evening, I drove to Little India and it was pitch dark but not because there was no light, but because there were too many Indians around.”

They need water in river to transport imported Coal. and that imported coal need fossil fuel energy. there is no EV powered ships on this scale. US industry depend on EU input. EU have trade surplus with US. US need to save Europe.
