... If only Russia could build more pipelines to China and sustain their domestic nuclear industry from surplus oil and gas receipts at the same time.

Well, if the Russians offer to VVER reactors at a really good price, I don't see why China shouldn't take up the offer.
There are already a number of VVER reactors in operation in China.

But there is a 5 year construction period involved.

) — An F/A-18 Super Hornet was blown off the flight deck of the Norfolk-based USS Harry S. Truman, according to the Navy.

The accident happened on Friday in the Mediterranean Sea while the carrier was conducting a replenishment-at-sea, a way of refueling ship-to-ship. Navy officials said the incident happened during unexpectedly heavy weather,

All personnel aboard the ship are accounted for, however, one sailor was injured. The sailor’s injuries were described as “minor” and they are expected to make a full recovery.

The pipelines and tankers to deliver more Russian gas exports don't exist
Sakhalin pipeline is in construction. It should be up by the time new reactors are.

Yamal to China will be a technical challenge due to the geography at the western Sino-Russian border but maybe they can negotiate a path through Mongolia. It should be easier than negotiating a path through Ukraine or Poland who kinda hate Russia.

Russia can also export saved coal to China via rail that otherwise would have been used for heating or generation. China in turn replaces coal imported from certain annoying countries.

Russia is building Nuclear reactors in Egypt, India, Iran, Turkey, Bangladesh, Hungry. there are some more countries where technical training done incase the pursue nuclear reactors. the point is Russia is creating export customers.
This approach Russia is taking with Aviation by boosting its Civil aircraft. there will be decline in Airbus numbers after this Ukraine issue. so there is opportunity to get export market.
They have also convinced India to take export through Iran route. how will India know oil is Iranian or Russian if they swap north and south.

VVER's are gonna be wildy more unpopular everywhere and that includes countries like India, which is already avoiding buying russian weapons because of CAATSA sanctions. Only country left willing to buy will be China and luckily for Russian it's also the one country that can absorb most if not all of its supply

It’s good. 100%. China has eliminated spot iron exchange rate risks with this move. I think Spot Oil will be coming soon.
This reminds of my first job in a bank. I was in charged of import and export. When our clients exported their goods and present their bills for payment, we usually help our clients by waiting for around mid noon, that is the moment the rate changes over. Because all exports are in US dollars, we will credit our clients at that moment in local currency with the existing or the new exchange rate, whichever is higher. This means a difference of tens of thousands of dollars in a transaction. This is good for our clients but bad for the importers. The use of a common currency, such as Yuan, will eliminate this uncertainty.
