Man, that Modi guy has been trolling China hard these past couple of days, with his public greeting of birthday wishes to the Dalai Lama, the visiting of Dalai Lama in Ladakh, the apparent intention of Modi to have the G20 meeting be held in Ladakh plus the ongoing investigations to Chinese companies in India, blocking investments, banning apps etc.. India is flexing its non-existent muscle against China because it's pain free so far for India. It's aware of China's precarious geopolitical situation being tagged as the pre-eminent power allegedly trying upend the white man's order a.k.a. rules based order.
With India taking advantage of her close relationship with Russia buying her oil for a bargain price it's trying it's best to take anti Chinese actions to placate and remind her western allies that India is still in their camp. Whereas China has to control it's urge to club this hyena for reasons I mentioned.
