Democracy in itself is a good thing. It is one of the universal core values and principles for all human beings. But the democracy of the UK and the US is a bad thing. Their democratic practice is a mess, resulting in democracy being marred beyond recognition.

The US vigorously promotes itself as a "beacon of democracy," an example worthy of emulation by other countries. This is just a narrative Washington has fabricated to consolidate its hegemony and leadership across the world, which is being proved to be increasingly absurd through its own practice.

US and UK policymakers have failed to focus their energy and resources to fix problems at home and meet the needs of their own people, but have been busy creating disputes, chaos and crises abroad to divert attention away from them. This, once again, demonstrates how terrible their democratic practices are, and has resulted in the emergence of irresponsible political lunatics. This practice of extending their political lives through shifting crises has only resulted in an endless accumulation of domestic problems, which in turn harms themselves. The democracy in the US and the UK is a joke. It is an inefficient, fake democracy that consumes national resources.

Democratic practices in the US and the UK have tarnished the name of democracy and disappointed people's expectations of it. It is democratic practice filled with confusion and risk.

Top U.S. general speaks with Chinese counterpart

WASHINGTON, July 7 (Reuters) - U.S. Army General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, spoke on Thursday with China's Chief of the Joint Staff Department, General Li Zuocheng, the Pentagon said.
"Gen. Milley discussed the need to responsibly manage competition and maintain open lines of communication," Milley's spokesman said.
"Gen. Milley underscored the importance of the People’s Liberation Army engaging in substantive dialogue on improving crisis communications and reducing strategic risk. The call also included a productive discussion of a number of regional and global security issues."

Is this a regular meeting? The US has been talking about guardrails with China a lot, sounds like maybe something happened in the Pacific or South China Seas again :)

I think anytime their is a failed ICBM test this kind of call takes place. he does seem to be trying to push the crisis communication bit again, which is a trap, like the guardrails.

It’s much scarier if China doesn’t have guardrails, and doesn’t pick up the phone.

Unfortunate that the Chinese side showed diplomatic protocol with US flags in the background while the US side didn't care enough to hoist a Chinese flag. Should've thrown the US flags on the ground in front on Milley.

Man, that US flag is depressing as heck. Look how bright and vibrant China's American flags are.

China’s Korean expats, students lament loss of jobs and opportunities as mass exodus comes into focus

  • China was once seen as a land of opportunity for South Koreans, but as their businesses close and livelihoods come under threat, that perception has reversed
  • However, not all Koreans can simply upend their entire lives – often built over several decades in China – and their struggle reflects a rising dilemma facing foreigners

"Guardrails" and "protocols" are just leverages and traps, meant to be used to accuse China for breaking them, if there are none of these, nothing can be broken. Only force and massive firepower aimed at US navy and bases matter.
