Well, western oriented politicians are excellent double speakers. They'll say whatever that's needed to be said because no matter how much ridiculous or insincere they come across or genuine etc..most people a.k.a. their voters would forget their worst moments, lies and use their supposed "embarrassing moments" as virtues.
Look at this supposed old Zelensky video pre-Presidency, where he espoused the virtue of ethnic Russians, the use of Russian language inside Ukraine, appreciating the Russian heritage and even espousing himself having a Jewish heritage that speaks Russian and appreating Russia etc..but then he became President and turns out he's something else....
The British Embassy in Russia refuses to recognize its new address "Luhansk People's Republic Square".
The British Embassy will not use its new address and will continue to use the previous address.
In that case, the British Embassy in Moscow will remain without mail.
Letters and parcels sent to the old address of the diplomatic department will not reach and will be returned to the sender, told "Russian Post".
