Yes! This is something I've wanted for some time. Talking to the EU instead of its constituent states puts China at a disadvantage.

I would go one step further and downgrade political ties with the EU to economic only. There should be no diplomatic interaction with the EU and China unless there is a reciprocal arrangement with SCO, BRICS or any other multinational body China is a member of.

Absolutely the right decision. The civil service should only be able to make recommendations, not set policy.

This Germanization of Europe has basically destroyed rest of Europe militaries / industries along with debt and infrastructure that will not be able to deal with energy, food and water prices. ECB balance sheet is already bigger than Fed.
now add the impact of re-militarization of Germany and more German spending vacation in Turkey. spending money outside EU system.

Indeed. I personally agree with the decision but if you think it more, Congress is clearly dysfunctional. If you wait for Congress to instruct a regulating agency to to do something then good luck, get ready to be played by corporate interests

I think the repeal of Roe v Wade will be seen as the first step of the break up of USA. The country is already split into two camps, I see no way the differences can be reconciled. Like a couple who are always fighting, the longer they leave it before they separate, the messier the divorce will be.

The USSR broke up 3 years after the failed campaign in Afghanistan, the USA is on course to beating that record...

Whatever happen to John Kerry, US Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Change ? He used to travel to China and other developing countries lecturing them about the evil of burning coal and green house gas emission etc.

But he has been off the radar lately.
