This is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, there is no "endgame" where China can win forever and eternally. Geopolitical games never end, and rivals will never stop emerging. You can cherry pick however many comparisons you want at whatever point in time you want, which is in fact what all China-haters do when they downplay anything China does, but the fact of the matter is that India does have the prerequiste population and demographics to challenge China in 50, 100, 200 years. Fostering a willing ignorance and sense of superiority now toward any country will coalesce into a psychological inability of future generations decades in the future to even comprehend the idea that "shithole" countries would have anything worth learning from.

The good thing about modern China is that they don’t deluded themselves with racial superiority or manifest destiny religious BS. China is ahead because it has a vast population that is willing and able to work hard and smart and for a common (broadly) shared set of goals. And that is the core message the Chinese government relentlessly tells its people, with the flip side being constant reminders from history on the costs of arrogance and hubris.

Chinese totally discounting of India is not based on anything other than India’s consistent history of failures and the trajectory it’s society and leaders have set them on.

If and when India actually starts to realise some of its potential, China might start to take it more seriously. But as things stand, India’s vast population and demographic dividends just means a massive and growing burden for themselves and the world in the years to come.
