Lol. I guess China slamming their fist on the table which spooked the US has forced them to make a statement. Still would not trust them one single bit.

Taiwan wanted no precondition (to hell with the 1992 Consensus) and be treated as equal (state to state) in the rapprochement.

Taiwanese Premier Su Tseng-chang has called for talks with China amid rising geopolitical tensions with the mainland, saying rapprochement must be done without preconditions and with the estranged parties treated as equals.

China has long rejected both conditions from Taiwan. So this is just propaganda from Taiwan.

And how is giving free stuff to broke nations going to build a self sufficient domestic semiconductor industry?
Europe has plenty of money for semiconductors. that is separate funding. what is not separate is EU increase imports from Middleast and to fund that transition Mideastern countries have to keep energy prices higher and potentially even higher for Asia.
once EU enter with full force. Countries like India will be routinely disciplined to set an example for others.

EU does not have plenty of cash for semiconductors with raising interest rates and an impending global recession. The next harvest season isn’t even here yet and inflated food prices haven’t started to moving higher yet. Don’t forgot about trucking which uses diesel and the military expenses to replenish depleted stockpiles due to Ukraine.

QatarEnergy CEO said it himself that there isn’t enough LNG to replace Russian exports to Russia.

“The North Field Expansion plan includes six LNG trains that will ramp up Qatar’s liquefaction capacity from 77 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 126 mtpa by 2027.”
In 2021, the European Union imported 155 billion cubic metres of natural gas from Russia

The project’s first phase is slated to deliver 10 million cubic meters per day (3.65 mtpa)

155 billion (bcm) / 10 million (bcm) = 15,500

15,500 x 3.65 (mtpa) = 56,575 mtpa per annum

Qater Expansion = 127 mtpa per annum.

Full transition from a swimming pool to a spoon full of water.

0.22% down by 2027 and only 99.78% left to go… wait a minute. Half of it goes to Asia and the other half to Europe?
99.89% left to fully ditch Russian gas.

You are comparing years to days.

You are comparing years to days.

10 million per day = 3.65 mtpa. Time does not matter on finding weight.

( 155 billion / 10 million ) x 3.65 = 56,575 million tonnes per annum

Qatar = 127 mtpa per annum. Not per day. MTPA stands for million tonnes per ANNUM.
