I would have to disagree. There is clearly a trend of uptick of mass shootings in the last decade. 50% of mass shootings that resulted in mass deaths occurred in the last decade. Not disagreeing that Democrats are using mass shootings to gain attention but it is also undeniable that there is an increase of mass shootings.
I think there is an increase in mass shootings over the past 2 decades when adjusted for population. But your Wikipedia img/chart is very biased, almost every Wikipedia chart would have more recent events compared to historical events.

I am not so sure it is bias. Wikipedia chart includes all mass shootings that have at least 10 deaths. Off the top of my head, there are not that many mass shootings in 90s and 00s.
