My feeling is that having SK with Japan in any military 'alliance' is about as useful as having Turkey in NATO, for China.

Germans forced to cut spending – media​

Half the population can no longer afford their former lifestyles

Nearly half of German citizens cannot maintain their former lifestyles amid record high inflation, Bloomberg reported on Friday, citing a survey conducted for public broadcaster ARD.

Poll data shows that some 47% said they were strongly cutting back on spending. Among low-income Germans, the proportion of citizens who were forced to tighten their belts was almost 75%. The survey was conducted among 1,337 respondents between May 30 and June 1.

@getready that is the ultimate goal of Abe administration, to achieved that he needs the cooperation and approval of the US. It's an admirable effort, whatever opinion you have against Abe at least he love his country and we should applauded that BUT will the Americans allow it, instead we see the tightening of the leash, the US when invited will never leave unless the population itself rise up. We know it first hand and there is an effort to bring them back here with China threat propaganda BUT we resist it (Duterte 2016 victory and BBM 2022). I hope the Japanese all the luck and finally find their voices, they need to take back their country and hopefully this Ukraine War will awoken a lot of them as the same with us.
