Interesting. From what I have heard and seen (not from Western MSM; mines is based on experience and what other people seen and experienced), Taiwan's populace is extremely arrogant towards mainlanders and border line obsequious towards foreigners, particularly Japanese people. In addition, I have heard that Taiwan has been trying to call everything that's Chinese, "Taiwanese", and disconnect themselves from Chinese history and establish "Taiwanese" history. I guess your non-mainlander status made them more friendly to you OR you must be a DPP/KMT agent trying to do your duty of performing psyops on us lol.
I mean, if being an asswipe for the US makes one superior, then Taiwan indeed fits the bill. Maybe one day they'll be promoted from vassal state status and have the ubiquitous honor of being an "ally". Then they won't just be a prodding stick, they'll also be dragged off to "liberate" third world countries from their oil reserves.

Spain may cut electricity to France – media

Madrid can’t keep prices down at home without shutting off exports to its northern neighbor, a major newspaper claims (El Pais)

Spain has informed the European Commission that a joint price reduction plan with Portugal may entail restricting energy sales to France, El Pais reported on Monday. Madrid is its northern neighbor's largest single supplier of imported electricity, and the potential restriction comes as the entire EU grapples with soaring energy costs.

Although France is a net exporter of electricity, it still imports around 34% of its power, according to

from 2020. Spain, more than any other single country, provides most of this.

Under an alternative system originally proposed by Madrid, electricity exported to France would be charged at a higher rate than that consumed on the Iberian Peninsula. According to El Pais, officials in Brussels are concerned that this arrangement would breach the bloc’s market rules, and Germany and the Nordic countries are reported to be fiercely opposed to this idea.

Turn off the taps Putin. Let the hunger games begin.

TL;DR - A piece by a conservative American that questions the morality of the US and its allies in the Ukraine war.

The U.S. and Europe continue to support Kiev. But not, it seems, to make peace. Rather, the allies are prepared to back the Zelensky government as long as it fights Moscow to the last Ukrainian—which has always been the West’s approach to Kiev.
Allied governments have offered abundant weapons to Kiev and imposed excruciating sanctions on Moscow, all of which serves to keep Ukraine in the war. America and the Europeans have made clear that they do not intend to take part in combat. Equip Ukrainians to fight, sure. Help Ukrainians fight, forget it.

Most disturbing is the apparent failure of the allies to support what the Ukrainian people need most, peace. Writer Ted Snider

“Next to starting a war, the most reprehensible act would be keeping one going when more people will die with little hope the outcome will improve,” yet evidence suggests “the U.S. is inhibiting a diplomatic solution in Ukraine.”
The government of Russia bears full responsibility for invading Ukraine. However, U.S. and European governments share blame for causing the conflict. Filled with arrogance and self-righteousness, they were determined to treat Moscow of no account. For that, the world is now paying a high price.

Notes to the neoliberal Americans and the European Atlantists: the right wing, this guy in particular, are Putin's fifth column. Lock'em up.
