Curious what you meant to say.
My children are in Perth, Australia for years without problem with their Singlish accent.
Australians in Singapore have no problem with our Singlish.
My Singaporean friends in Australia are still with their Singlish accent after living there for decades.

Actually I get put off by Asians speaking with American, UK or Australian accent.
I much prefer our TV anchors speaking Singaporean.
I feel at home when I meet others speaking Singlish.

Likewise we get by with our Singaporean Mandarin in China.
Not necessary to speak with Beijing, Shanghai or Taiwanese accent.

Its a dead end in my opinion, it would be better if they just use China's strategy in gaining friends and allies through BRI, which is perplexing why they can't, with their dollar being the world reserve currency and all.

Still those action are so extreme that all the propaganda wouldn't help much except within US's largely brain washed population. You've already pointed out how the sanctions war is not going as well as US had wished for Russia. Imagine how weak would international support for sanctions against China be, number one trade partner for many countries including US, on much shakier legal grounds.

So salami slicing it is, as long as China is not ready yet they'd try to put maximum pressure on this front. If China tip over then great; if not, then keep encroaching.

US would love to try their own BRI project, but if they can't build infrastructure back home in a timely affordable manner, how are they gonna build up those countries China is courting right now? This is China's comparative advantage; the US's comparative advantage now is capability in destabilizing and destruction, they may just want to keep to their strength....

I am happy this has been the experience for your kids and am not here to doubt you, but from what I've gathered this is the exception rather than the rule. Most Aussies think Singapore is a Chinese city or province, in their eyes you are basically the same as a mainlander.

The singlish accent is very distinct. A single word out of your mouth and people will know you're not from around here (not an ABC).

Wikipedia has long been hijacked by the US neocon/neolib establishment to publish US propaganda and misinformation that supports their deceitful narrative. When it comes to Geopolitics you can pretty much toss Wikipedia down the toilet (once you used it to clean yourself). The US neocon/neolib regime is desperate and this desperation gets reflected in their absurd and delusional full spectrum propaganda campaign against the world.

IMHO, there will be a time where the world will have to confront the Neocon/Neolib US like it did with Nazi Germany. Both nations have been hijacked by a gang of ideological thugs hellbent to bring their heinous and destructive ideology to every corner of the world. American fascism (neoconservatism, neoliberlism) and German fascism (national socialism) both belong on the ash heap of history.
