Washington will fail in its scheme to put pressure on Beijing and Moscow and deter them, China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin said at a briefing Tuesday, 29 March 2022.

Commenting on the Pentagon’s National Defense Strategy sent to Congress, Wang Wenbin said the report was ‘replete’ with ‘Cold War-era thinking’ and ‘bloc confrontation ideology’. "China and Russia are major powers. America’s plans and attempts to deter or pressure us will fail," he said.

The spokesperson added that the US needed to review its commitments relating to the crisis in Ukraine, stop ‘creating imaginary adversaries’ and ignoring other countries’ security concerns.

The Arab Coalition on Tuesday announced that it would cease all

during the month of Ramadan to help create “propitious conditions” for peace talks to end the yearslong war in the country.

The Coalition’s statement came hours after GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf called for a cessation of military operations coinciding with the Yemeni-Yemeni peace talks being held in Saudi Arabia.
On it's own, this makes no sense. Hostilities had been increasing in Yemen and the Houthis had launched quite big attacks against Saudi infrastructure. The last time that happened there was a massive increase in Saudi attacks in Yemen.

In the context of the Ukraine situation it does make sense. Both Iran and Saudi are watching the European-Russian gas stand off very closely and have lost interest in fighting a proxy war (for now).

If Russia does cut off supplies to Europe, the Arab world at the very least will stand to make a fortune. If they impose a full embargo (as I expect them to) it could mean the end of the west as we know it. I think Japan and South Korea may be spared as they are quite pro-Palestinian, but the west and Taiwan are doomed.

John Pilger interviews former CIA Latin America chief Duane Clarridge, 2015

For those who believe in the whole thing about how the US fights for freedom and democracy or whatever, there was a time when CIA -- before it openly integrated into the newsrooms of media corporations like NBC and CNN -- was candid about its real mission. Listen for yourself as journalist JOHN PILGER interviews former CIA Latin America chief DUANE CLARRIDGE about how easily and happily the CIA overthrew democratically elected governments whenever it wanted. ~ GLENN GREENWALD

It just can't get better than this. So Boris Johnson doesn't represent the UK and is illegitimate.

The will of the people is often disconnected to the government that is formed after the elections. This is because although the people vote in their members of parliament, only the fifty members of parliament vote in the prime minister.

PUTIN, DRAGHI HAVE DISCUSSED PAYMENTS FOR GAS IN RUSSIAN ROUBLES - TASS 2022-03-30

Mario Draghi, the former head of ECB, was the first to publicly reject ruble payments. They said sanctions were well prepared a long time in advance. They said we don’t need Russia, a small ridiculous economy. They said we will not pay in Russian rubles.

R/cringe worthy. The desperation is palpable with their pathetic attempts to split China-Russia

"A reminder for all Chinese.

Everything south of the Nerchinsk Line from 1689 is stolen Chinese land.

In the Treaty of Aigun (1858), Russia stole everything up to the Amur River (in yellow).

In the Peking Treaty (1860), they stole all the land east of the Ussuri River (in red)."
If you read the replies. Most are saying better Russian then Chinese land. They regard Russia and European so it still better to be under Russia then china. This is the racist bias that exists.
