Japan is interested in the
Oil and Gas project Sakhalin-2 and in continuation of Energy Resources buying within its framework, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said at the press conference on Wednesday.
"
We are interested in this project in terms of Energy Resources Purchase at a Low Price in the Long Term," the Prime Minister said.
Gazprom holds 50% plus one share in the Sakhalin-2 project. Japan’s Mitsui has 12.5% of shares in the project and the stake of Mitsubishi is 10%.
