Notice how they have to interject: "FEAR" whenever they talk about Russia-China alignment, even though Russia-China alignment is in response to significant offensive pressure by US and their lackeys. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy they are trying to generate: 1) Provoke China/Russia, 2) they seek to rely on each other and support each other, 3) SEE? BAD GUYS WORKING TOGETHER! We must apply more 'pressure', and 4) cycle continues.

I wonder how much of US military-industrial complex finances these fearmongering articles about Russia-China relationship. I feel like more anti-China drivel and 'China threat' hype articles are all financed by the US military-industrial complex who needs more BOOGEYMANS to justify their exorbitant defense budget post-Cold War.

At this point additional spending is meaningless because the material basis of military expansion outright isn't there.

Their shipyards are already booked to years of backlog. What does more money give? They still can't recruit enough, more money just mean inflation. Etc, etc.

Yes, you are correct. Maybe I should say: "maintain current level of spending", because there are many leftist democrats who are calling to cut the defense budget to help support healthcare reform (M4A), free college, living wage, guarantee jobs program, UBI, and all sorts of social safety net programs.

If US military can protected their defense budget by exaggerating the China threat (not necessarily to increase the budget), then they will make up lies like genocide, hype China's aggression, portray China in negative light as much as possible to maintain the current budget, even though China has never fired a single bullet that killed a foreigner in over 40 years. China is like a SAINT compared to the US imperialistic devil.
