It looks like the US and the West are serious about convincing China to cut tie with Russia. However, what prevent China would be the next on the target list for being sanction by the West, nothing. Therefore, I doubt China has any illusion about the West no matter what the economic costs due to the fallout.
But at the same time, the USA should know that any action that they take on Russia would harm them and they have already caused China enough grief. What is going to stop China in the future from well demanding their goods in anything but dollars and to get rid of all usa treasuries instantly by dumping them onto the market. Will USA manufacturing down and the infrastructure crumbling and most of those with the expertise to fix this not being listened to, well the USA should mind their own shit and stop trying to tell them what to do. Do they think then can sanction China and not expect payback? They cannot scale China and they never could in the first place and since the USA has gone out of its way to harm China for existing, well the USA had better watch out because the day that the USA will face the same sanctions is fast approaching because it is clear to the world that the USA has nothing good to promote to the world except war and thus will become a nation that the world will simply do better without

They also pitch the same deal to Russia, that if Russia backstabs China then US will let it back in G7, drop the Ukraine and Nordstream thing, allow Russia into NATO etc etc

Lol yes and no. Paid more than Chinese ones, for sure. Pay kept up with inflation? Hell no.
Also the typical construction worker don't work very hard in North America. If you drive by a construction site, you will see most of them just standing around and drinking coffee or chatting. Maybe 1/4 of them actually working, the other 3/4 are having a safety chat, or planning etc, basically wasting time.
