It just feels very childish. If what China does is Wolf Warrior diplomacy then this is kindergarten diplomacy.
She is not a diplomat though. She did this not for Chinese to see. She is an elected official. She is very likely trying to gain publicity and popularity in her own country.

The childishness of her tweet tells something not only about herself but also about her voter base. This is what's concerning.

Nobody has a government based on meritocracy. And BTW, no company has leadership based on a meritocracy either.
I thought you said "NO DISCUSSION" but to entertain your comment that categorically states "Nobody or no country has a government based on meritocracy" is simply false. The military is part of the government which for example under the American system is under the control of the Executive Branch (President). And within the military the promotional ladder is based on merit and not on knowing someone on the inside, especially from someone that's enlisted or from cadet graduate from any of the top service academies.

As for your contention that no companies leadership are based on merit either then maybe the companies you worked or is working for are bottom feeders because that charge is also patently false. One can argue or quibble on any companies "leaders" based on subjective personal opinions but in order for anybody to be considered for a leadership position they must have already exhibit the traits, characteristics, and meeting all the objective criterias the companies have set.

Kinda true though, otherwise bamboo ceiling wouldn't be a thing.

Well, that's within the confines of western countries and the cultural preferences they prefer to have for a "leader" or leaders. But there's no question that the people working in the top companies are competent, highly educated, and graduates from top ivy league schools. Which mean, they are already pre-screened for success. Which is why you're witnessing Chinese businesses people who were based in the U.S. that have made a successful transition into creating their own companies back in China. There was a sense of artificial "limit" imposed for a hosts of reasons that some are known to most of us here that are of Asian/Chinese descent. But there's no question that "meritocracy" is being practiced in competent companies globally. Is it perfect? Of course not.

If one is talking about pure meritocracy - i.e. your promotion decided purely on your skills, then he is probably right. There's always human bias and other issues - like the absence of metrics that could flawlessly range people from the bottom to the top, or the soft-hard skills dilemma - that always leave room for speculations. However, talking about pure meritocracy is kinda stupid because we are obviously talking about the comparative scale where one system is more or less meritocratic than the other one.

In their desperation they are now putting a trial-baloon for using hostage tactics on Chinese pandas loaned to the US.

Another reason why China should go for 10000 nuclear warheads

That I have some sympathy. My own kids were born in the US. I don't think I can have them deported to China. I know there is an agreement on Panda. But we Americans don't give diddly squat about agreements if they are not good enough.

The color is inspired by a Northern Song Dynasty painting 千里江山图 see below. The dress of the lead dancer is closer to Han Dynasty 曲裾深衣, one piece of cloth wrapping the whole body. The hair style is popular in 魏晋南北朝 (between Han and Sui), especially the northern dynasty (mural paintings). Remember this is an artistic creation, not a reproduction of any specific era, so lots of things are brought in.
