What's your interpretation on this report. Why are the Chinese nationals getting the most approval for the asylum process. Is this based purely on merit, based on the fact that there are far more Chinese asylum seekers per capita which the approvals simply reflect the number of applicants? Or does politics meaning geopolitics play into the equation a little bit. Essentially this tidbit can and will be used by America as part of the overall attack on the supposed political, religious (nutjobs of FLG) regressions allegedly to be happening in China.
From what I know it's a business, there are agencies helping people forging documents /stories to make such claims so that they can get a green card. Not surprising at all.

A long essay by a university student about Huawei 5G and the Philippines. It was not bad. She gave a decent presentation, and provided some facts that were relevant.

What the article does not delve into are the commercial considerations too much, and the technical parts probably were not fully understood, but she is only in university. Pretty good I thought.

@horse bro she is a Hua Qiao, a first generation like myself, so there is an attachment to China with her parents either one of them is an immigrant. Looking from her surname , she or one of her parents are Naturalized Citizen.

>The two allies are staging joint exercises to prepare for regional conflict that could spill over from Chinese aggression

Literally how is the entire western MSM left or right wing so completely paid off by the MIC? The bias and propaganda is ridiculous. You'll see the same in Reuters or AP articles, constant interjections about "authoritarian" China's "menacing threats", "brutal crackdowns and atrocities" etc. etc. even when it's unrelated.

If China actually wanted to avoid war it needs to find some way to target, disrupt and attack the MIC-funded MSM brainwashing campaign in the west. Even if China gives up on ever unifying with Taiwan, you have the rabid populace in the west calling for an invasion of Xinjiang to stop the Holocaust fueled by the media campaign. War will find it.
I used to be surprised as well. But then we need to realize that the Neocon/Neolib US literally had 70+ years time to create "Gleichschaltung" (synchronization) of its own media and the media of its vassal states. It has gotten particularly bad in the past 20 years. Nazi Germany did this in less than 7 years! Just like the Nazi regime, the Neocon/Neolib regime is very desperate to score a win over its adversaries.

“I would think that, not the opening of the Taiwanese office, but the name of it was the mistake, something with which I wasn’t consulted,” Nauseda said

For slight context, Lithuania has a Semi Presidential system with PM being the more powerful one. Him and the PM have been political opponents before.

Yet this is Big coming from such a figure and more interesting is the bit that he wasn't even consulted. Which is clearly a sign that the orders came from Washington and the poodle PM implemented it without delay.

Will we see a Lithuanian reversal? Not sure but clearly the support for such Anti China measures isn't unanimous amongst Lithuanian Politicians and a change of Govt may result in reversal.

Come on even if he wasn’t consulted at first China would have made that protest ultra clear a long time ago. He would have known and if he really wanted to intervene he would have done so long ago. This is purely deflecting responsibility and face saving for if a U turn is made later on.

Clearly BS excuse, but what is significant is this very public ‘airing of dirty laundry’ in the form of giving voice to this claim and criticising the PM rather than offer a United front.

Lithuania needs to make far more explicit and meaningful reparations, but this is nevertheless a significant development, and maybe the opening move in Vilnius trying to walk back this provocation. With a lot of internal politics mixed in as well since it looks like the President is now manoeuvring to have the PM take the blame solely and wholly, so he can oust the PM and change the name of the office to Taipei or close it outright as an overture of attrition and fig-leaf to Beijing.

I just hope Naudesa has already had all his covid booster shots and take extra security precautions least he gets suicided or accidented by the no-doubt by now fully scrambling CIA Lithuania office.
