The Americans are fading in the region of East Asia, and South East Asia.

The Americans tell us they still matter because of their alliances. Whatever that should mean.

The problem with their alliance, is that all allies must be united on the same page. That should give it strength.

What unites American allies in East Asia, and South East Asia is RCEP. That should give those allies strength, because they all on the same page.

However, America is not part of RCEP, that is kind of like lol.

American alliances in the region are about QUAD and AUKUS.

They do not talk about the treaty alliances much anymore because that seems like not enough. So they try to sell something bigger.

What is QUAD? Trade war, trade punishment, border fights with fatalities, and Japan sits around does not even cheer.

What is AUKUS? About 8 submarines in 20 years, by two members of the QUAD, and another country that is on the other side of Europe.

So ... what does QUAD and AUKUS do for the region? Hostility and militarization.

And what does RCEP do for the region?

The Americans have a tough sell.

Sure, the allies of America can remain allies, but does not means they want to buy what the Americans are selling, which is hostility, trade restrictions, and more militarization.

This seems sort of obvious, except to the Americans.

Until they realize that, American influence in the region will continue to sink.

Don't you just love how gracefully the US declines?

"Everybody should love us! It's the US or nothing! It should be illegal to even talk about China... except to say bad things about it! If anybody mutters the suggestion of doing business with China, they should get a bolt put in thier skulls! If anybody doesn't support the US against China, they should be put into a gulag for life without the possibility of parole and forced to repent 100 times a day! I graduated Harvard so listen to me; I'm smarrrtttt!!!"

Seriously, even supposedly intellectuals from America's top institutions are devolving into this; shows that the fear of China is so severe that it's actually crippling to their thought process and it can only be that way because of how great a job China is doing at running them down.

lets not confuse Antizionism with Antisemitism. Being Antifa doesn't mean that you are anti-German or anti-Italian. You are against fascist politics that once took over these countries and their current supporters. Of course Zionists are nasty b@st@rds but thankfully, not every Israeli is Zionist
I am well aware that there are good Israelis and bad value when the government their is literally ordering the deaths of innocent people everyday and over reaching into other nations to bomb them as well, it’s is going to be very hard to tell the difference

In light of the RCEP passing as well as countries like Japan and Australia passing anti-Chinese import/export laws, I just want to take a moment to remind everyone of this:

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

The United States has declared something that is obviously, and provably fake. (Forced Labor in Xinjiang)

They're now seeing who'll drink the kool-aid. Their next step will be to remove those who didn't.

As Dick Cheney famously said, "reality is what we say it is."

It is up to all truth-loving people to stand against the United States and to stand against their efforts to rewrite reality.

I am not sure if people like these are actually saying those things seriously, or are they just catering to the idiotic domestic audiences. Because in China's perspective, it would be a BLESSING if the US just go ahead and sanctions Japan and Australia and others for joining RCEP.
Please America, listen to your genius like Mr. Andres Corr. It would be a hell of a fun show down to behold! hahahahaha

Through RCEP, China basically open up their doors and willing gave out a part of their market share to countries like Japan and Korea, so that they can benefit and earn money from the Chinese market. And China, in exchange, gets more global influence. This is how the world operates. The US can only out-compete China, if they are willing to cede more market share to countries like Japan or Australia: to offer them a better deal than China, in order to gain their support. Sadly, this is something the US is not willing to give.

So what people like Corr is saying, is that the Americans is unwilling to compete with China in gaining support and trade relations with other countries, and they will only try to punish other countries for trying to seek national interests for their own nations. This NEVER works. This is how they USSR got so much hate from the rest of the Eastern block.

2 front war against Soviets isn't a threat. Soviets wiped the floor with IJA already.

Japan was strong for an Asian power but it's GDP was still only 1/5 US while it's population was 1/2. They were about at the same relative strength as China in 2004 or so, just putting 20% of GDP into military

That's because China bogged down 2 million Japanese troops in the China theatre.

If China did not bog down 2 million Japanese troops between 1931-1937, I can assure you Battle of Khalkhin would be reinforced with even larger amount of troops and equipment and that battle could have turned out differently. Soviet Union would have to station millions of troops in Siberia just to deter Japan, which would have made it's Eastern Front (with Nazi Germany) significantly more vulnerable.

Soviets wiped IJA in 1937 because the vast majority of IJA was in China in a stalemate. If China was easily conquered, IJA concentrated it's full might on Siberia, we could be talking about Re-run of Russo-Japanese War, with Nazi Germany invading from West, and Japan from the East.
