US declines to join CPTPP.

US to counter Chinese economy with a new framework called the "Indo-Pacific Economic Framework."
Existing frameworks don't grant America much uneven advantage anymore, so there is a need to create new ones.

Just like how WTO need to be revamped to align with US interest.
Just like how a new "rule-based world order" is now being pushed over the existing UN-based world order.
Or exclusive US-led "indo-pacific" over what is actually Asia-Pacific.

But the issue is, to create a new unequal playing field tilted to your advantage require cost, and American society as a whole is unable to keep up with the maintenance cost, which US politicians are trying to offload onto allies/ others nations. Constant trade deficit is needed to export dollars, but sanctions are making nations wary of furthe exposure to dollar asset. Trade benefit with US is recognised, but more and more partners are realising to do so at the cost of killing trade relation with China is no longer a viable option in the future.

And wanna guess how well it will go ? Any Biden-admin initiated economic deals will probably be mothballed the moment Rep take hold in 2024.

It's in the news thread because it is FOX news.

FOX news 's operates by recruiting a guy who is willing to say the most outrageous things on TV with a straight face.

Faux-outrage and sensationalist 24/7 media needs to generate views/clicks, and that's how they do it. Zero journalistic integrity or independent critical thinking.

Its really funny actually... I guess the US also has a junior partner against china, its janissary corps of african american infantry who have no choice but to serve in the US army as other career paths (i.e. finance, STEM) are rife discrimination and limited prospects. From my sources, it appears that african american enrollment has dropped since the BLM protests last year. Not saying civil war in the US is inevitable, but come the next george floyd protests (which is inevitable), nobody would be surprised if entire brigades in the US army refuse to take action against the protesters, further dividing the already fractured american military institution.

Not to mention that all us "allies" are worse than junior partners, they are vassals with no independent foreign policy whatsoever, hell some us "allies" don't even have an independent economic policy like australia lmao

“If you look at geography, if you look at demographics, if you look at history, Russia should be scared to death of China.”
—Michael Green, a former senior White House National Security Council official who is now Asia studies director at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service

What am curious to know is what the heck is Michael Green talking about when he says that Russia should be scared of China because of "history." The man while highly educated, bookishly smart when it comes to all things Yamato (that's his area of studies and expertise) his knowledge on China is anemically pathetic.

It's code for white supremacy. The writing is on the wall that every Western and Eastern European country can understand without saying it out loud. They have to do something or it's over. The only weak link for China is if those in Beijing that want acceptance and acknowledgement from the West still have a voice.

Erdogan sure loves to talk bullishly combined with great b.s. on Turkey being an economic giant considering it's current economic downturn and currency devaluation. Plus, the man just promised to provide 25 million of covid-19 vaccines to Africa which is great but with what vaccine? Sinovac, Sinopharm? And the way he buttered the emotions of the African leaders were too freaking cringy when the best economic "help" he can do is TO SELL MILITARY WEAPONS to the African countries. He sound like an Indian Jai Hind. Pretty interesting leader.
