There's always massive protest at G20 summits.. look it up guys...google is your friend
I'll address this now:
while posting
Thursday at 7:45 PM
... "Police expected around 100,000 protesters in the port city, some 8,000 of whom are deemed by security forces to be ready to commit violence."
Trump, risking isolation over climate, arrives for G20
...
I was guessing I would hear it's like just run of the mill, but I followed the protests a little bit anyway, as for me it's kinda interesting from the tactical point of view (I've been aware of this type of protests since 2000
);
I've read German Police tries to handle the protesters as if they were kids in a kindergarten: they don't punish them (here's the link where I read that:
Czech journalist on location, doing interviews etc.; I don't expect you to read this, I post it to show I didn't make it up),
and I believed that yesterday in the evening, while watching for several minutes live (Reuters, so I assume it's credible) coverage of the protests:
(see? Police has no phalanx formation, no shields, no long batons ... here they would have also horses and LOL! Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs which are German Shepherds cross-bred with wolves, really, it's like a chainsaw if unleashed)
but today I saw pictures of Police carrying assault rifles later I mean during the night ... let's wait and see, but in my comfortable chair the German tactics looks strange
