All this would not have started if someone did not blare out, with a hot mic, that corruption is helpful to the Africans. Just STFU!
It’s not that corruption is good but rather that under a state of general corruption corrupt acts like bribery becomes necessary for survival. It’s easy for people in faraway places to demand a stop to bribery but for the people on the ground it literally means life or death.

It’s also easy to imagine for example for some businesses having to pay a bribe in order to open a manufacturing plant to help the locals.

Yes, Singapore was quite corrupt at one time. In fact, in 1959 when Lee Kwan Yew became the Prime Minister for the first time, he ran on an anti-corruption platform. Once elected, he acted almost instantly against the rot; he did not wait for the island to get rich first. We see the results today: from being one of the poorest and most corrupt countries in the world when Lee started, to one of the richest and least corrupt. The fight against corruption came first, before the economic development of the island.

@solarz would have us believe that development precedes successful anti-corruption drives. But Singapore disproves this.
Singapore had Lee Kuan Yew, do we have that kind of leader in Africa? Paul Kagame, leader of Rwanda, could be one if we use Rwanda corruption index ranking which is 49 higher than China which is ranked 78.

With a strong leader, we can see that Rwanda develops very fast. Eliminating corruption is not the only thing that can help development, there are many other factors too. Singapore had Lee Kuan Yew and many Chinese diaspora who help develop Singapore as you can see there are many rich Malaysian Chinese or Indonesian Chinese who put their money in Singapore.

I have said before, the problem with corruption can not be blamed solely with China or put all the responsibility on China, but the African themselves, it's not one-way street. Corruption needs the giver and taker, the one who offer to bribe and the one who take the bribe. China already has a very strong penalty for corruption (death penalty) and corruption can still happen in China and richer countries like Singapore/USA/UK are also not immune from corruption.

China also already put the law for its citizens not to do bad behaviors in other countries (I think corruption is also one of the bad behavior because against the local law), it now depends also on the Africans to report or jail those who broke the law in their respective countries.

Keep a low profile. Often, it means the amount can't be so LMFAO-esque conspicuous. Above all, don't be cavalier.

Erdogan is a maniac. It is has been widely known in the *western* media that he may have a disease.

How else do you explain his bizarre foreign policy decisions. As you said, "They wanna go against the whole world"

We always hear of Tiananmen vigils, but never any vigils for Panama civilian victims of the 1989 invasion…

Also interesting to see America’s short memory… calling Trump dumb for wanting to invade Mexico to fight drug cartels

That was the one of the justifications to invade Panama!

Check GDP per Capita nominal vs PPP multipliers for Turkey vs. China. It's fking insane.

Turkey PPP: $32k USD
Turkey nominal: $9k USD

Multiplier: 3.5x

China PPP: $18k USD
China nominal: $12k USD

Multiplier: 1.5x

This implies China has prices 2x higher than Turkey but the reality is China only has prices 38% higher than Turkey.

This is why Turkey thinks they're a developed country with 9k GDP per capita.
