What were the US, UK, and Australia thinking when they signed AUKUS? Don't they have intelligence/policy analysts that advice them of the potential effects of this deal on other governments? Seems to be a major foreign policy blunder.
Intelligence and political analysts are all vapid and full of themselves tbh. They have drank the American supremacy/hubris is forever and China is nothing but a weak fragile state only one or 2 calamities away from total collapse. Plus, none of the folks that work in those important fields suffer any grave consequences from their incompetence and non exising analysis. You can probably come up with a better analysis through Google search or something rather than to rely on those spineless, careerist hapless half-wits.

This way the French gets to be divide and conquer while maintaining existing diplomatic links with the UK for practical reasons, but still gets in a stinging dig at marking out the UK as the second tier follower power not worth directly responding to, which is perfectly correct, as who would try to argue with a dog rather than talk to its owner?

It's already happened. Lol. At the 6.pm evening news a few minutes ago. The reporter already reported that

"The French don't think the British is in charge of this debacle" lol!

That's some put down! I don't know which is worse. Be tought of as some insignificant lackey, or be thought of just insignificant. The humiliation is all too much.

I like the saying "time will tell", so I keep re-examining the past.

You claimed to be wanting fairness and justice, you claimed not being monsters, few days ago.
You lot talk as if us Anglos don’t want fairness or justice in the world, you think we are really monsters constantly scheming how to keep you down.

You really think we, who are just normal citizens, don’t want common prosperity and universal security? I would LOVE it.

You think it’s the people of the west’s fault, you act as if it’s us directly responsible and you treat everyone s a co-conspirators. You want the west to get fucked and me and my family to be punished? To feel the pain on your ancestors?

Is that what you want?
Yet, whenever there is an opportunity, you would grab it to back-stab your ally.
Guys, please consider the economics from the UK point of view.

The UK is unable to build any more Astute submarines because it’s production lines are being taken up with the 4 new deterrent subs. It is still building the last of the Astute's and has a hot production line and we have recently been bidding to set up production lines abroad for frigates.

The previous submarine deal was nearly $100B for France. The UK is a selling nation, we would love to sell Astutes to Australia, especially at the expense of France, this is a killer economic deal for UK PLC.

I am just saying there is more than one angle to look at, this is a $100B we are talking about.

If pursuing economical gain at the expense of an supposed ally is not back-stabbing, betrayal and monstrous behavior, then what is?

If a common citizen like you is willing to do the above and I am sure you are not alone, then it is just reasonable for other people to think that majority of you don't want common prosperity. Shouldn't you and the likes be directly responsible for whatever long term consequence from this "back stabbing the French" event?

If your word and act matches one another, you would not have felt the need to make the complaint.

The Del Rio International Bridge, Texas Border Chaos

Thousands of illegal immigrants congregating under the Del Rio Bridge in south Texas as they waited to be processed by Border Patrol.
Some 9,000 illegal immigrants, including Haitian, Cuban, and Venezuelan nationals, were in the area.
It comes amid a surge of illegal immigrants trying to cross into the United States in recent months, which has left Border Patrol agents overwhelmed and struggling to process the sheer volume of people, particularly those who arrived in the area at the bridge. (17 September 2021)

Thousands of mostly Haitian migrants (joined by Cubans and other nationalities) have poured entirely unopposed across the Rio Grande and occupied a massive beachhead here on the Texas side. (2021/09/17)
