Maybe another trick to get huawei to admit guilt
@daifo I read this

The Globe and Mail report said the development could open the door for China to free the Canadians, without quoting sources. However, it said Huawei's talks with the United States did not include the Canadians.

That said it all, what a way to treat your allies.

The US is doing a lot to screw over Canadians these days. Sadly there probably won't be any pushback, too many Canadians are completely spineless when it comes to the US.

France recalls its ambassador to the U.S. in protest of Biden’s submarine deal Australia. NYT

France announced on Friday that it is immediately recalling its ambassador to the United States, Philippe Étienne, in protest of President Biden’s announcement of an agreement to provide nuclear-powered submarines to Australia without consulting French officials.
In a statement, the French foreign minister said the decision was made by French President Emmanuel Macron.
“At the request of the President of the Republic, I have decided to immediately recall our two ambassadors to the United States and Australia to Paris for consultations,” Jean-Yves Le Drian, the foreign minister said. “This exceptional decision is justified by the exceptional gravity of the announcements made on 15 September by Australia and the United States.”

This whole series of events (AUKUS, Nuclear Submarine, Fuck France ) only shows that the Anglos ONLY intention is maintaining the Anglo-version rule of international order. Damn the facade and international law and decency.

If you think Justine Trudeau is chummy with the U.S. wait till you get the new Canadian poodle that is O'toole, the man is even a bigger tool and fool for the U.S. Canada should just stop pretending to be a different country and just apply for statehood for the U.S. the only things that stands out from Canada and the U.S. is their public funded health care and their obsession with hockey. Other than that, their music, movie celebrities are all American centric. They just like to say "eh" when they speak sometimes.

Afghanistan: Drone strike killed 10 civilians in Kabul, US acknowledges | Breaking News
The war crime committed here is another instance of knee-jerk reaction from the US acting out of a position of strength. The character of american democracy rule-of-international-order farce is exposed.

Whoever ordered this strike is a war criminal for blatant HUMAN RIGHTS violation. It is blatant violation of International law. Yet i am not optimistic that these war criminals will be brought to justice based on the anglo version rule-of-international order.

Perhaps the Anglo can throw "Beijing Biden" under the bus? He is "Beijing Biden" after all.

Greece eager to attract investments from China

Greece continues to maintain close ties with China, despite EU and US concerns. Athens is eager to attract Chinese investors, who are just as keen on putting their money into Greece.

China, primarily its state-owned shipping giant COSCO, jumped into Greece when the company took over running the port of Piraeus and has been expanding it into one of the most used in the EU and one of the best after decades of mismanagement.....

In another sign that Greece wants to maintain close relations with China, Mitsotakis accepted an invitation to attend the 2022 Winter Olympics, to be held in Beijing.

I'm always impressed by the Greeks and their warmth towards China, going back to their help in bringing Varyag to China. Once I found a well educated Greek man and asked him what's the motivation behind it and he told me it's because unlike the nouveau riche countries who only became somebody after industrial revolution, ancient civilisations who have witnessed several thousand years of history know the cyclical nature of time. Greeks can see that China is going through a period of prosperity which may last several centuries so why wouldn't they want to be on that boat.

He also said only a small minority of countries have cultures such that they understand the whole "I do something nice for you now, and in the future if I need help you will remember and help me out" thing, most countries only think about the now and don't care what happened in the past. He listed Greece, Italy, Israel and China as four countries that have that sort of culture.
