Summary:
China made a mistake by focusing on stealth tech, actually what matters is tactics. China focused too much in the tech

Some rather "interesting" takes from the report, as highlighted by Ayi, including but not limited to:
- "OSINT sources prove that J-16D has not been inducted on a large scale"
- "China's SEAD is still based on ancient Soviet-style SEAD"
- "China has no unmanned aerial vehicles"

Even more "interesting" is that the author actually took the movie plot from the "Sky Hunter" (空天猎) movie from 2017 as if those are PLAAF's SEAD combat models.

Yes, the fvcking CASI, under the Department of the Air Force and could be regarded as one of the most authoritative sources on PLAAF developments out there.

Holy sh1t, and we thought that the recent annual CMPRs by the Pentagon were already bad enough.

Stealth or low observability is just one aspect that China focused in their sthealth program, then there is sensor fusion, enhanced situational awareness and longer range Air to Air Missiles. All of that is included in long term strategy to deal with long range threats along with short range threats. There is a reason why the J-20 is shaped as it is and the J-35 at it is. They are built for different missions. Both are being built to get caught last and find the enemy and hit it first

I love these guys.
The reality is that the U.S. treats stealth “as a multifaceted capability that integrates technology with operational tactics to maintain air superiority,” he said. “Stealth technology, while expensive, complex, and important, is only part of the equation.”
I like how they never elaborated what the other facets are, because US only has two dozen F-15EX so far, still has no E-7 in service, has no counter-stealth radar, there's only the F-35 and tactics around hoping F-35's stealth works lol

But these stealth-busting technologies are either unproven or have limitations, such as accuracy, filtering out clutter or vulnerability to electronic warfare.
I always found it funny how Americans lack the object permanence to understand, people aren't obligated to tell you when they detect your stealth aircraft or submarines. It's actually super interesting that Americans believe their advantage are greatest in stealth and subs when those are the exact two things where you can't actually measure the primary attribute.

This however certainly one way to say American counter-stealth tech is bad, which kinda prove that China was right to invest in stealth.

They are completely political now. Earlier in June they published an article on the Tiananmen Square incident as if this has any bearing on technical analysis of the PLA.
