In spite of pleas by Joe Biden, US president, that both sides should calm the row, the G7 summit has led to heightened tensions between Britain and the EU over the post-Brexit trading regime in NI.

Raab told the BBC’s Andrew Marr on Sunday: “We have serially seen senior EU figures talk about Northern Ireland as if it were somehow a different country from the UK.

LOL The irony and stupidity of that argument isn't lost on this monkey when it comes to China's Hong Kong, Tibet, Taiwan, and Xinjiang. Cry some more.

“It is not only offensive, it has real world effects on the communities in NI. It creates great concern and great consternation.”
He asked EU leaders to consider how they would feel if Johnson talked about Catalonia, Flanders or Corsica as if they were — respectively — not fully integrated parts of Spain, Belgium or France.
“We need a bit of respect here and also frankly an appreciation of the situation for all communities in Northern Ireland,” Raab added.

A note to be taken for the future.
UK "cares" about Hong Kong.
Japanese PM calls Taiwan a "country".
French President calls Northern Ireland not part of UK.

They certainly did not coordinate, but like a bar fight of drunks once shit throwing begins nobody is safe and nobody knows what comes next. What a great time we live in.

Lol 40 trillion, why not 400 trillion or 4,000 trillion? They're all about equal likely.
For comparison, US 2002 GDP was 20.6 trillion, so far the total spending on BRI has been a few trillion. Biden tried to get 6 trillion approved for US infrastructure work and GOP has cut him down to 1 trillion.

So yeah, 40 trillion, good one G7.

Tell you what would be funny though, if they do spend a few trillion (unlikely that may be) on development in the 3rd world I wouldn't be surprised it's actual Chinese companies that get the work in the end via outsourcing.

Full G7 Communiqué, China is barely mentioned. The U.S. was not able to get G7 support for their Anti-China campaign, they should just give up.

“We also call for a timely, transparent, expert-led, and science- based WHO-convened Phase 2 COVID-19 Origins study including, as recommended by the experts’ report, in China.”

“With regard to China, and competition in the global economy, we will continue to consult on collective approaches to challenging non-market policies and practices which undermine the fair and transparent operation of the global economy. In the context of our respective responsibilities in the multilateral system, we will cooperate where it is in our mutual interest on shared global challenges, in particular addressing climate change and biodiversity loss in the context of COP26 and other multilateral discussions. At the same time and in so doing, we will promote our values, including by calling on China to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms, especially in relation to Xinjiang and those rights, freedoms and high degree of autonomy for Hong Kong enshrined in the Sino-British Joint Declaration and the Basic Law.”

“We reiterate the importance of maintaining a free and open Indo Pacific, which is inclusive and based on the rule of law. We underscore the importance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, and encourage the peaceful resolution of cross-Strait issues. We remain seriously concerned about the situation in the East and South China Seas and strongly oppose any unilateral attempts to change the status quo and increase tensions.”

Are you serious? China was barely mentioned? It may not mention China directly. But did you actually read the whole thing?

Let me see and quote so there's no ambiguity.

More witch hunt and finger pointing at China.

“We also call for a timely, transparent, expert-led, and science- based WHO-convened Phase 2 COVID-19 Origins study including, as recommended by the experts’ report, in China.”

Mmmmmm. More finger pointing:

"we will promote our values, including by calling on China to respect human rights and fundamental freedoms, especially in relation to Xinjiang and those rights, freedoms and high degree of autonomy for Hong Kong enshrined in the Sino-British Joint Declaration and the Basic Law.”

Some value, have word with George Floyde, the Afghan children, the native Americans and Australians. Need i say more.

More!

“We reiterate the importance of maintaining a free and open Indo Pacific, which is inclusive and based on the rule of law. We underscore the importance of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, and encourage the peaceful resolution of cross-Strait issues. Oh right, Taiwan province. So what about northern Ireland, Basque country, Catalonia & Gilbraltar, and not to mention Ryukyu kingdom. Hawaii. While we are at it, how did the us acquired Texas, California. Etc?

Western hypocrisy knows no boundaries.

what is all these statement got to do with G7, which is supposedly concern with economics and trade?

Now tell me again, China is barely mentioned?

This is golden. Top comment, taken from a FT article

Xi: Lui He, get Putin on the line.

Xi: Vlad ? Did you see the 7 stooges’ comunique ?

Putin:

Xi: This is serious. They focused on me but Joe is going to dish it out to you next week.

Putin: Chill out. They are all broke. You may have to lend them some money to pay for the Green B$R. Make sure you charge them at least 10% interest as you well know Joe is facing 6% inflation and the dollar is worth zilch.
They are insinuating forced labor, that’s hilarious, Joe has penal labor in his Constitution !

Xi: They say the West is back ! Does that mean we’ll have to smoke opium ? Darn, Lui He just
quit smoking cigarettes last week.

Putin: You better install new sprinklers at your Forbidden City and take out an insurance policy with Lloyds.

Xi: What about all my people ? Will they make my country into a great brothel again ?
Will I have to give them part of my country ? I’m really worried !

Putin: Relax. The Yankees are all on dope, they can’t even shoot straight. Just get your
DF-41’s ready just in case Joe has an outbreak, they are all trigger happy.

Xi: Thanks for the advice. I think I’ll call Duterte, Joko, Nguyen Phuc, Kim, Modi, Thongloun, Hun Sen. Do you think I should call Moon ?

Putin: Call everyone, even our African, Latin American and Middle Eastern friends. Tell them the new Crusaders are back.

I got to stop doing this. Quoting my own post. But I can't help it when I saw this from that hypocrite Raab. He was insulted amd offended by Macon calling out Northern Ireland as a seperate country. Mmmmm stop having such a thin skin, and try being Chinese that suffer your jibe day in and day out regarding Taiwan, Xinjing, Hong Kong and South China sea.

So "Great" Britain need a little respect. Interest outlook. It's a shame that little Britain don't offer the same respect to others.

The Tiananmen Square protesters were not seeking a revolution. They were challenging corruption within the Party, calling for less censorship, better eduction funding and supported Hu Yaobang's legacy. But they weren't seeking to overthrow the Party. What they were seeking would have led to more transparency and made it harder for corrupt officials to hide their money via families, perhaps also more intra-Party democracy. But there would have been no reason for the CCP to be disbanded.

The protesters probably would have left Tiananmen Square voluntarily if the People's Daily editorial had been rescinded. But given hardliners like Li Peng refused to remove that blot on the protesters' records, it's not surprising if by the end of May 1989 there were more people openly challenging the CCP itself.

Anyway, if you think you're right in your interpretation of the protests, all the more reason for the CCP to allow open discussion of the subject in China.
That is incorrect as I remember there are 2 faction in the protest one of them agree to leave but the other faction led by Cailing refuse to leave the square. They have given ample of time to leave the square one month actually. No government will tolerate their capital to become squatter paradise Here is the interview with Cailing I guess she is responsible for the tragic event and not CCP. I read the blow by blow account in Globe and Mail They have good correspondent John Frazier if I am not wrong

Tiananmen 1989 Student Leader: "We are hoping for bloodshed" | Western MSM will never show this
