Isn’t there anyone in the White House who would’ve pointed out the optics of this whole thing and how stupid it makes trump look?

If he’s already gone and kidnapped Madurai and is preparing To invade Greenland he may as well kidnap the Nobel committee and park an aircraft carrier outside Stockholm and “persuade” them to give him the Nobel peace prize and more to the point, why didn’t they do it in the first place? It’s evident western elites know what sort of man trump is and how despotic he behaves so when the elites do something like crown a blonde miss denmark as miss universe to Trumpian tastes rather than the bearded transvestites and African miss finlands they’ve been promoting, you’d think they’d know better than to grant the Nobel peace prize to trump.

I think they value their jobs too much to do that. Not like they can find work via legitimate means in the current job market.

Turkey-Saudi–Pakistan Pact And The Security Market That’s Replacing Old Certainties

Bloomberg reported on January 9, 2026, that Turkey is seeking entry into the Saudi–Pakistan mutual defense pact signed four months earlier, according to people familiar with the talks. That timing matters. Ankara moved within weeks of the Trump administration's return to the White House—when hedging against transactional American security policy stopped being theoretical and became operational.

The pact with Pakistan is one layer of that redundancy. Turkey would add another: a NATO member with the Alliance's second-largest military, established defense-industrial capacity, and geographic position bridging Europe, the Caucasus, and the Middle East. Pakistan brings something few countries can sell at scale: the perception of hard security capability—including nuclear overtones that exist in regional minds even when absent from treaty text. Saudi Arabia is purchasing that perception premium. The question is whether Turkey's potential accession amplifies or dilutes it.

Canadian PM Mark Carney announces over $1T worth of trade agreements with China.

This includes Canada allowing the capped import of up to 49k Chinese EVs (a return to the levels before the 2023 ban on Chinese EVs), and lowering tariffs. Canada would also allow more Chinese EV investments into the country. China and Canada are also lowering mutual tariffs on agri products. Canada aims to build up it's LNG infrastructure to export even more LNG to China. Visa-free travel between the two nations have also been agreed. Who ever said about China capitulating to Canada have jumped the gun too early.

Mark Carney repeatedly said that Canada wishes to diversify it's trading options from over-reliance with the US. Thank you Trump for pushing Canada to do this!

Sounds like he gave Trump enough reasons to invade.

The European Union is the biggest joke of the opening of the 21st century. How will the Europeans defend Greenland? By sending a couple of German destroyers and stationing French troops? Really, French troops? When was the last time France actually won a war? France surrendered twice and was beaten like a red headed step child in the last two world wars. If I was Trump, and knowing that the French are going to defend Greenland, I would certainly try to take Greenland, because the French, following their infamous tradition of surrendering will eventually surrender Greenland.
Listen very carefully, I shall say zis only once: It is Anglo lies perpetuated by the hateful envious English of magnificent Frenchmen rizzing up their women. If le English swapped places with France, it would have been the English eating German baguette in a week. Same as everybody else misfortunate to have a land border with Germany.
