What the Houthis control is where the vast majority of the Yemeni population lives - the de facto Yemen. They're supported by Iran.

Blue guys are the PLC, supported by Saudis. They are anti-Houthi.

The STC, that recently lost, are supported by UAE and Israel.

Currently, UAE + Israel are occupying the Yemeni island of Socotra which gives Israel a major foothold in the Arabian Sea.

I think Iran still has a chance to survive this color revolution. Their biggest strength is the IRGC and basij and how loyal they are. If they can leverage these forces and do a tiananmen style heavy crackdown, something so heavy that it will completely stamp out all traitors for good, then they have a chance at survival.

It all comes down to how heavy a crackdown they are willing to do.
