I hate to say it, vietnam pretty much copied China for their whole history. At one point they even copied Chinese mandarin and writing system. I think it was the French invasion when Vietnam decided to adopt a different approach, as they feel they are getting too close to China.
Natrually it is just how a civilization grow and develop. As much as they hate to admit it, I am willing to bet a vast majority of vietnamese ruling elites are probably ethnic han
I mean this is is the norm. Its not shocking.
You don't even have to be a country to do this. You can be a small company and still look at the benchmark and your peers to see how they are performing and what stuff you can take away or learn from them. In fact companies literally pay people millions to billions to perform such analysis under their strategy department. To not do so would be considered stupid for this is competition.
Its only when you have nationalistic retards or shills like NAFO or Jai Hinds where they claim they invented everything and took nothing from others. Aside from outright lying, its just a very bad mindset to have that ensures you won't grow. You're here to win not to feel good about yourself.
Thats why some people said it won't be China that is India's rival but Vietnam. Because Vietnam learns fast enough that by the time India gets anywhere, they will be fighting against Vietnam instead. You probably recall Jai Hinds boasting about iphones being assembled in India. Guess who's their biggest rival in that area? Vietnam.
Btw even though this sounds simple, its easier said than done. A lot of countries just don't learn fast enough which is why the west can screw them over so fast. The world just moves very fast these days in the information age and change is expected to be very fast too. Those who can't keep up will just enter the trash bin of history. I'm beginning to think even SEA is becoming more adept at understanding how the modern world works compared to say the middle east or south america.
