This is lack of understanding after four years. Putin is very deceptive person. due to this personality its very hard to know all the objectives regarding Ukraine unless studied that Soft power. That's exactly what's happening. Japan has a whole host of issues and everyone knows this, but at the same time, the Japanese government is unwilling and unable to do anything to fix them. Take the soaring rice prices as an example - it's the problem that affects people the most but becasue the ones who benefit from these prices are huge LDP backers, do you think that the government is going to change this? And so everyone fixates on blaming unrelated subjects for the problems and just attacks them instead.

You don't even have to be a country to do this. You can be a small company and still look at the benchmark and your peers to see how they are performing and what stuff you can take away or learn from them. In fact companies literally pay people millions to billions to perform such analysis under their strategy department. To not do so would be considered stupid for this is competition.

Btw even though this sounds simple, its easier said than done. A lot of countries just don't learn fast enough which is why the west can screw them over so fast.
