What happened to this new era of US military manufacturing that Anduril was suppose to show the US so it can sustain stocks that the Ukraine War exposed was wholly inadequate for the US in fighting a war. Sort of defeats the purpose when manufacturing has to be done half way around the world. Also it exposes the US can’t manufacture at home because it costs too much. Outsourcing just the parts to be assembled in America doesn’t cut it either.

This is only step one, but once again for all the pandemonium from some folks here about how China has been supposedly taking diplomatic L's left and right this year, China once again comes out on top. It did so in its trade war with Trump, with its trade war with the EU, and now with its diplomatic spat with Japan which was always just confined to a war of words rather than anything concrete.

I'm never one to advocate following leaders blindly, but when China has consistently come out on top time after time with each of these encounters, I feel confident in pushing back against naysayers.

When the history books are written, they will write that 2025 was a pivotal year in the power transition

Wow. I've seen some stupid moves but this is EU stupid. On this day of no particular meaning or importance, to achieve no goal or objective, they warn Russians and everyone in the world that Porsche, and likely other Euro cars, can be remotely shut down and thus cannot be trusted.
The EU is incompetent but this incident is entirely on Porsche. They suspended their Russian operations in 2022 and haven't maintained their security infrastructure since. They also can't sell their Russian assets because of legal restrictions and sanctions. Though if the sanctions and restrictions were dropped tomorrow, Porsche would probably return to the Russian market immediately.

China should make sure that rare earths exports to Japan should be throttled not only for its WWII war crimes, but also to restrict its ability for manufacturing for the US military.

It's another one of those, "Do something for us. We have nothing to offer you, but we will still criticize you and try to counter your moves." I get that it's purely for domestic audiences, but it's just such a dumb way to do diplomacy.
Now, do you see why the Anglo led west tries to get foreign elites addicted to western soft power, art, culture, films, luxury products? It’s so they can get countries like China to do things for them based on “vibes“ as opposed to offering anything tangible. If you want to see what that looks like, look at Iran and India with compromised elites.
