Honestly Fuck Shein. They want to be Singaporean? Let them die as Singaporeans.
Singaporean front for a Chinese company. To get inroads to other markets its more beneficial to be Singaporean based because it gives you a political out amongst other things. Its a foil for the "they're working for China" card. I know this may annoy some but it does hold value. The TikTok CEO saying "I'm Singaporean not Chinese" succeeded in pinning most of the hate and ridicule on the ignorant US officials, rather than magnify some sort of SG vs CN rift.

Singapore to China is what Switzerland/Cayman Islands is to USA. A place for billionaires to hide their money and take advantage of tax laws and other laws that apply as a separate entity. Oh and probably money laundering too.

Technically speaking Tencent is incorporated in Cayman Islands.

My money is not in America right now so you don't have any authority to touch it! My company is technically Irish not Chinese, look address, does it say Beijing here? Bet you feel real stupid now huh?

If China is the chicken, then why does the bird brain reside in your head? The West attacks China because they are goaded by American fear that China is winning the future. They must make moves to change this; China doesn't have to change anything as we just have to maintain course. I personally want to see European auto manufacturing destroyed; I generally dislike Europe. They're not even a big strong country like Russia or the US; they're just a bunch of little rats piled together pretending to be a large animal. But I digress. I can completely understand why China didn't go for the jugular; it never does because China is very strategic and wants to keep all spaces open for maneuvering. Today, it's Nexperia, but throughout the decades, do you know how many Western rodents have offended China? Basically all of them at some time. China strikes back and lets go, because to keep the grudge forever would mean that today, China would have deadlocked conflicts with almost every Western nation and some non-Western nations. China grew as a master of globalization. Could we have done it if we locked jaws at every offense and never let go? I'm angry at the Dutch and I'll never see them the same again, just like Canada after the Meng incident. I still boycott Canadian products, especially seafood. But the CCP cannot afford to be ruled by emotions like I can. They are strategic and I trust every decision they make even if it's not what I like to see.

If you still boycott Canadian seafood, from where do you get your king crabs and lobsters?

The appropriate response would be not to ship any chips or rare earths to Europe ever again. And to deter transshipment as much as possible with extremely punitive actions.

Not just rare earths, every critical material should be banned to the EU. Severe costs must be imposed on crossing of China’s red lines or everyone else will try to do it. EU is weak, no need to respect a weakling that crosses red lines. Time to bury it.

King crabs Russian for frozen, Norwegian for fresh/live. lobsters I buy freshly dead because I can tell when they're still good. After they die, they become a write-off for the market so it doesn't matter where they're from and they're sold at like $3 a pound. Don't know if they're from Maine, New England, Canada, whatever. They're unlabelled in an ice chest, discarded if no one takes them by the end of the day. But they taste as good as live if you can recognize the signs of freshness and high meat fill. If you can't and you pick the wrong one, you get a $5 shell full of mush and a lesson learned.

Honestly, I've been eating like no lobster anymore. The tail meat is chewy so I can eat them and so can my wife but her dad's teeth are struggling and my little kids (27 months the oldest) find the tail meat too tough. So crab is just better and more tender for them.

Anyway, I shop consciously of national origin when I buy my things (although I basically can't avoid American while living in America) but when it's the final sale aisle and everything's a small fraction of the original price, I don't care where it's from. It's already considered a loss for the merchant and thus things there are considered unsold and weigh on the merchant NOT re-ordering. Whether someone takes it for 99 cents or it gets dumped at the expiration date isn't even tracked at that point.

The last time China used these warring words with the Dutch, it was the Ming dynasty taking over Dutch Formosa from their colonialist grasp.

Funny how Dutch illegal seizure of Chinese lands/assets is a recurring theme even in the modern era. How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?
