Just ignore the westernised useful idiots, gaslighters and trolls.
Unlike the west, China has zero interest in world domination. It does not seek to colonise and control the rest of the world to free ride and rent seek. All China is interested in is using its own honest labour and ingenuity to make the lives of its people better and more prosperous. And it does not seek to suck out every last morsel of profit nor seek of monetise and capture every positive externality it creates that benefits others as a way of giving back to those less fortunate in the global south especially. China is a kind of benevolent power the global south has not seen in centuries if ever.
But some in the global south want even more. They want China to be a mentally weak sucker that they can take advantage of and piggy back on to advance their own goals at the expense of Chinese interests. And China is supposed to be meek and cooperative in being robbed by them or China is bad! It’s the kind of entitled laziness that drives white right wing racists wild with rage and glee and you will have absolutely zero luck trying to cuck China like you could with overly guilt ridden white liberal racists who still suffer the delusions of the white mans burden.
China will do what is in China’s best interests in a win-win approach that also fairly benefits and compensates those who trade and partner with it. If you try to stand in China’s way, 9 times out of 10 China will just shrug, chalk you off as an idiot who hates prosperity and go a different route. But if you go out of your way to harm Chinese interests and threaten core Chinese red lines, China will go through you like a door if it needs to.
China is a superpower. Just because it does not resort to violence does not mean it is scared to apply violence when it is necessary.
As the saying goes, beware the wrath of the quiet man. Chinese wisdom means it knows that it is folly of the highest order to resort to violence too quickly or too frequently. Thus it will try to restrain itself as much as possible, even to an absurd degree where it could obliterate the troublemaker with contemptuous ease. See the Philippines as case in point. But the flip side is that if you push China to use violence, it will also use that as a teachable moment to both yourself and other would be trouble makers and apply overwhelming force to show how much pain it can easily apply.
This isn’t emotional, but science and psychology. Look at the past pattern of Chinese wars and their legacy.
Korea, firmly established itself as a serious military power able to punch massively above its weight.
Vietnam (vs Americans) Americans, still smarting from Korea, went to enormous lengths to assuage possible Chinese concerns, arguably setting itself to fail in doing so.
Vietnam (vs the Vietnamese). Called the bluff of the USSR and ended Vietnam’s delusions of empire in south east Asia, forcing the Vietnamese to be ever mindful of Chinese interests even to this day.
India, crushed the Indian military so badly they are still not over it.
But the Japanese are in a special category of being on China’s shit list. They have utterly failed to de-nazify their leadership class of the same sentiments and often even same families that led them in WWII. As such, if they start any new shit with China, it won’t be treated as a new conflict in isolation, but rather as a continuation of unfinished business from WWII where China will need to do the job the Americans chickened out of at the end of WWII, which is to cleanse Japanese society as thoroughly as the Germans were after WWII to get ride of all traces of the Nazis. If anyone from the global south gets uneasy about that, simply ask yourself, are you a Nazi or Nazi supporter/sympathiser? If not, then chill the fuck out as you have zero risk of getting the same treatment from China. If you are, you are welcome to go get in line at the international legion of idiots recruitment office and go join in the defence of Japan. The PLA won’t be bothered about the extra munitions cost and they won’t mind helping to make the world a better place.
