The West always keep repeating the "China collapse is coming" is because the more they say it, the more people are being gaslighted to think it is going to happen.
Markets can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.
China, at its peak will achieve 2.5-3 times the PPP of USA. In nominal GDP, I don't know about that because U.S can just keep printing money to boost their nomimal GDP.
No, the lie is the same, but the reason for repeating it has fundamentally changed from a hope to a prayer.
Before, the west hopes that China would collapse because it could not stomach the costs of a war against China. Today, the only thing the west can do is pray that China collapses, because they have already thrown everything bar the proverbial kitchen sink of declaring war on China and not only has China not come close to collapsing, it’s the west’s collective economies that got put on life support. And even if they did bite the bullet and go to war against China, every objective indication shows a Chinese, not western victory. The best the west can realistically achieve is nuclear MAD, and in time, even that will be taken from them. Especially if Trump is moronic enough to seriously pursue Golden Dome and ripe up the Outer Space treaty that bans weapons in space, because while America might announce its building a Golden Dome, all past real world examples shows that its the Chinese who will actually build it for real in response.
