Why would a dispute between Thailand and Cambodia have anything to do with China? Seems like a non sequitur.
It's easy to do so when you have full control over Filipino media and politics like the US does. You can easily manipulate the people to believe whatever you want them to believe.
That's why they are trying so hard to get rid of Duterte, he is the only one who is actually a little independent
Well basically some people in Thailand do think that Cambodia is being backed by China or something. Real stupid stuff.
You're right, that is stupid. China sells way more weapons to Thailand. Admittedly I think Cambodia relies more on Chinese arms proportionally, but Thailand is much larger in absolute terms.
Well the idea in the West is that the entirety of SEA is against China because 'reasons' They don't see each SEA country's own agenda from a realist point of view but rather a simplistic black-and-white approach. To them, it is unthinkable that SEA countries like Thailand could have conflict with Cambodia, or have national interests that align with China's or go against other SEA countries.

Well, both are very close to China, especially Cambodia ... at least China can mediate between these 2 countries, China is highly respected by these 2 countries

They have a tendency of projecting themselves on everyone and can't fathom that others don't think like them. If you go to reddit they keep banging on about how if Russia were to collapse tomorrow China would take over Siberia because they want land and resources, I keep thinking to myself "these people are nuts". They honestly believe that if things pop off in the pacific Japan and Korea will immediately fight China with them, I laugh at those idiots. Like others will risk getting bombed on and possibly nuked simply to maintain US hegemony.
