China refuses to speak to them, then what exactly are they going to do? Start another trade war? How did the last one turn out?

The other choice is China can troll them, by speaking to them and agreeing to nothing. Sort of like how Lighthizer and Lui He held all those rounds of trade talks. It was amazing the talks did not completely collapse and they actually agreed to something.

That was why President Trump knew what he was doing, on a tactical level, but Trump flunked out of strategic thought school.

President Trump played all the cards already. What we are seeing from this statement from the US and EU is a cheap imitation of President Trump. In the end, his trade war failed to achieve anything that the United States really wanted, and the US trade deficit still balloon upwards.

The Europeans suffer from strategic confusion, which its roots are seemingly from an inability to accept their role in the world. The EU is all about over promising and under delivering. It has been like that for the EU for so long, that I do not remember when it was different? China will ignore their requests.

What is it with white people and wanting and fantasising about a Glorious Battle of the Pelennor Fields against the coloured races?

with Merkel and her sensible pragmatism out of the way the EU will descend into anglo lapdog-ism so China can just pick and choose and divide and conquer and select choice deals for european countries like Hungary.

Oh and punish backstabbing countries like Italy.

Italy became anti-China when the EU parachuted their own person to become Prime Minister, "Super Mario" Mario Draghi (?)

After the EU elite guy came in, the anti-China actions from Italy intensified

One must wonder how things are starting to come back to haunt these people. Like I did mention before, everything that the USA has tried to do on China, like in HK, the trade wars, the pandemic and Xinjiang have all come back twice as hard and a whole lot worse is on the horizon. One must wonder if the USA simply just stop what they are doing and just focus on there own selves that a lot of the current issues could have been avoided and possibly things would be better off.

The iron ore lobby in australia are the only ones who have been going hell for leather in trying to get the australian government to stop its anti China crusade.
Unfortunately when you have assholes in charge who fancy themselves the next Great White Hope and a jesus freak at that and anglo chauvinist, you're going to run up against some hard walls.

Eventually the hammer will drop on australian iron ore as it must.

I have the same opinion and seeing the last 2 weeks does makes you question, how much of this is just manufactured prestige by the US and the west.
Give Israelis access to the highest education and projects, send them back to Israel and fund them so they can succeed.

And the Nobel prizes is also used as some kind of cudgel to hit non western nations with, well this western has x amount of Nobel prices, how many Nobel prizes does this non western nation has, do you really wanna support them.
